Is it from the CDC, who stopped tracking breakthrough cases in May?
No, it's a compilation of state data, but it relies on vaccinated people to self report. so it's likely a higher number than actual.Screenshot_20210804-103508_Brave.jpg

Arkansas has gone from 100 new hospitalizations per day to 2800, about a fifth under 18. They are shipping patients to Colorado.

Saw an interview with a woman in a hospital with Covid, she was behind plexiglass. She said she hadn't gotten vaccine because she figured she would be all right. She has hypertension and diabetes FFS.
Dummies are gonna be dumb. Forever. But these southern states shipping their sick people to other states, man, that takes the cake. Close the borders!!

Not going to trust someone who says breakthrough cases are rare when people in my daily life prove otherwise.
I see. You're going to trust anecdotal evidence over compiled and verified data which is consistent over dozens of different organizations...

This is the kind of thing a flat earther would say.

The vaccines don't actually confer immunity (prevent transmission) but simply reduce severity.

That is not correct. While the vaccine does not prevent every single infection, it does prevent a lot of infections.

Vaxxed people are testing postive left and right despite claims breakthrough cases are rare.

Anecdotal incidents are not statistics.

People are using logic based around traditional vaccines to say everyone should be vaccinated or segregated. Unvaxxed and people researching are pointing out the faulty logic, with very recent science from the CDC and Fauci in fact, only to be ostracized based on a false premise.

Fauci and the CDC disagree with you here.

I’m still not understanding this…So since vaccinated people can just as easily spread this as unvaccinated, apparently, why would that mean someone would not get the vaccine? Like what’s the argument?

You can add my girlfriend, probably myself, my sister, and her husband to the list of vaccinated people who got infected. Regardless, if it makes the symptoms less severe, I'm still 100% happy we all got vaccinated. Not trying to die and shit.

If it puts any wind in your sails, I know easily over ten people who’ve had covid, tested positive and everything. None died or were even hospitalized, a couple were in their 60’s and I’m guessing all were unvaccinated. Only about half actually got sick, me being one of them. Weird, shitty dry cold/cough type thing. Exhaustion and sore eyes. Wife lost taste/smell but didn’t feel sick.

Study Finds Falsehoods About Delta Variant May Spread Twice As Easily As Original Covid Misinformation

ATLANTA—Warning that the new inaccuracies were considerably more contagious than previous varieties, a Centers for Disease Control study released Wednesday found that falsehoods about the Delta variant may spread twice as easily as the original Covid-19 misinformation.

“Our data indicate that the transmissibility of the initial Covid fallacies and conspiracy theories pales in comparison to dubious statements concerning the Delta variant,” said CDC director Rochelle Walensky, explaining that even those who had been vaccinated were still capable of spreading misleading and erroneous comments.

“We were already struggling under the early waves of unreliable statistics, and the Delta strain of misinformation is making our job even harder. Once these unverified memes and bogus claims break through and infect the minds of large portions of the population through Facebook, Reddit, and Twitter, they’re nearly impossible to control.”

The report concluded that the efficacy of booster data to combat the spread of Delta variant lies was still unconfirmed.

So you didn't follow instructions during a pandemic got sick and spread it to others and luckily it didn't turn out worse for those you know, but you've been pretty cavalier about all of this you really don't know if you spread it to someone you don't know and who could have had a much more severe illness or even death.

Glad you all made it through all ok. My girlfriend is the only one who has tested positive so far. She had had a fever for a couple of days along with other flu type symptoms. My sister and her husband are also feeling off and have tests planned. My test is tomorrow morning, but since my girlfriend has covid, I have obviously been exposed to a shit ton of it. We are very close. Guess we find out tomorrow.

This is false. Arkansas today (Wednesday) has 1,232 people hospitalized with covid. This is actually a drop of 18 from yesterday.

If it were the case that vaxxed and unvaxxed people were just as likely to get covid, and just as likely to transmit covid to others, then:

  • there would be no reason to restrict the activities of the unvaxxed any more than the vaxxed
  • there would be a better case that not getting the vaccine is not selfishly harming others

But the premise is not true, vaxxed people are actually significantly less likely to catch covid, and thus significantly less able to transmit it to others.

I’m not sure that’s entirely true though. More and more reports that both sides are just as likely to transmit the virus, and get the virus. But the vaxxed simply don’t die or get sick very often. At least that’s what I am hearing/reading.

I think the transmission rates, over time, will start evening out between vaxxed/unvaxxed. Data on the Vaccinated and infections isn't standardized, and may actually be voluntary disclosure when one gets tested. Not sure, for those that have gotten tested, do they ask if you had the vaccine? I had a test a few weeks ago before going to Hawaii and it wasn't asked.

That is false. Recent reports are that vaxxed people can transmit the virus if they get infected. There are NO credible reports that vaxxed people are equally likely to catch it.

You're not a man of science are you?
