Is aortic dissection related to aortic stenosis? My sister has aortic stenosis and will need open heart surgery within the next year.

My dad had open heart about 20 years ago. He's still around and kicking today!

It will be a hard and at times painful recovery but if she is as ornery as you she will be just fine!

Get her a big stuffed animal or pillow that she can hug when she has to cough or sneeze. After surgery like that coughing or sneezing hurts like a SOB and the pillow helps to muffle it.

newsflash...Trump and Christie and all of them got vaccinated ...after getting covid...moot point. Public health has nothing to do with partisan politics or what hat you wear...it's a global pandemic...goes way beyond american political theater..personally being neither a republican or democrat I got my shots the moment they were available as did my family...we've all been covid free ...choices. My 16 month grandson just got a negative result from his covid test ..turns out it was a cold....being smart isn't about picking a side when it comes to airborne viruses...my family overseas had to wait alot longer to get vaccines...they weren't available until recently there...they don't give a shit about Trump or Biden

Nobody cares what politicians have to say. Trump is long gone and Biden is a potato. Believe it or not, people are capable of making up their own minds regardless of whether you personally agree with them or not. Crazy, I know. Do you really think it’s a big secret that Trump is vaccinated? Nobody fucking cares. It’s less political than your television would suggest.

  • Independents: 60 percent
  • Republicans: 55 percent
  • Republicans who support Trump more than party: 46 percent
  • Republicans who support party more than Trump: 62 percent
  • Biden voters in 2020 general election: 91 percent
  • Trump voters in 2020 general election: 50 percent

I made reservations for me and my wife to get our booster at the VA yesterday.
I've had my flu shot but I'm hoping my wife can get her flu shot at the same time.

I'm a professional so when I worked with someone I didn't like who did a great job or tried hard to do a good job I always let their boss know. I really appreciate coworkers who work hard.
However, when I worked with someone who did a shitty job, and there were many like that, I didn't say anything. My silence said it all. My mother taught me that when I was very young.

1. Just curious. Was your original shot Pfizer or Moderna? Pfizer (which is obviously FDA-approved now) is the only jab authorized for a booster, I assume? Asking because I assume I will be authorized for a booster, and I started with Moderna, but assume I'm getting Pfizer as a booster.

2. It's probably you're out of the work force today. I shudder at my many of my peers, their sense of entitlement, lack of work ethic, etc.

I got my booster at Costco. I had Pfizer originally. The thing is all Costco asks you is if you had Pfizer. You don't have to provide your shot card. So even if you had Moderna, you could tell them you had Pfizer and get the Pfizer booster. I have no idea if this is a good or bad thing. Just providing information.

Wife had double-jab of Moderna and then the Pfizer. She was out for a day, but survived just fine.

We both got Pfizer's for our first shot. Me in the auditorium on the second floor of the Portland VA hospital, she through OHSU at the Portland airport.
Our boosters are scheduled for the auditorium at the Portland VA hospital. I know nothing about the type (s) of boosters being given out except the Portland VA is giving out Pfizer shots.
Yep, I'm out of the work force although I still keep getting offers to apply for engineering management jobs and giving lectures, I can do neither due to my physical limitations. Still, we have comfortable life, just not as comfortable if that damned war hadn't caught up with me.
Only hang around with people who are totally ethical and hard workers. I strongly advise good morality but it's ethics that count in the work world.

I've heard it's a good thing but that's just gossip as far as I'm concerned.
