Facts are that really small occurrences mean nothing when looking at a population of large numbers. This means anecdotal stories are interesting but they say nothing about what is going on in general. I too enjoy telling anecdotal stories but I implore the reader to disregard them because they have no scientific value.

Just because a state narrative is very often correct doesn't mean that just the fact that it's a state narrative makes it somehow automatically true. It just means that our state reasoning is usually more careful with their deductive reasoning leading to their conclusions than your reasoning leading to your conclusions.
