CORVALLIS, Ore. - A woman fired multiple rounds from a 9mm hangun into her husband's SUV as he tried to drive away from a domestic fight at their Corvallis home just after midnight Monday morning.

Police arrested both the husband and wife.

Carryn Roose, 35, was charged with Attempted Assault in the Second Degree, Menacing, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Reckless Endangering and Domestic Harassment. She was jailed on $157,500 bail.

Police also charged Geoffrey Roose, 27, with two counts of Domestic Harassment. He was jailed on $15,000 bail.

Officers got involved after receiving 911 calls reporting gunshots in the 2800 block of SE Collins Place.

Police said that at about the same time, the Corvallis 911 center received a 911 call from Geoffrey Roose, who told dispatchers his wife had just shot at him multiple times.

Corvallis police officers met with Geoffrey Roose away from the scene they observed multiple bullet holes in his GMC Denali. All of the rounds were in the front drivers side of the vehicle, including round through the windshield on the drivers side.

Roose told offiers that he and his wife Carryn had been involved in an argument because she was, in his opinion, drunk and should not be driving.

Carryn Roose had driven to a location on Sulfur Springs Road to ride her horse with her 16-year-old daughter, police said.

Geoffrey Roose drove to the Sulfur Springs Rd. location and confronted his wife about her driving while intoxicated, police said. After an argument, Carryn Roose and her daughter rode away on horses, police said. Geoffrey Roose took the keys to her vehicle and went home.

Geoffrey Roose was still at home when Carryn Roose arrived after getting a ride from friends.

Geoffrey, Carryn and the daughter got into a fight at the front door of the residence, police said.

When Geoffrey Roose got into his GMC Denali to leave, Carryn Roose went into their home, retrieved a 9mm handgun and stood in front of the Denali firing multiple rounds into the vehicle where her husband was seated, police said.

After Geoffrey Roose left the scene, Carryn Roose went back inside the house and called 911, police said.

Dispatchers directed her outside to waiting officers where she was taken into custody without incident.
