"This is more Kawhi’s team, and we all fit in around him" - LaMarcus Aldridge

This is hilarious to me. So this guy went from being jealous of Damian, Roy, etc. to now saying this is Kawhis team and accepting this new role. Could he be bipolar too? is it possible? or could he have really have made a change for the better? I haven't watched a lot of Spurs games and how he plays now but apparently he has changed a lot

A great coach makes a very good player play great.
true. Pop is one of the greatest coaches of all time but it's not like stotts is a terrible one. I think a lot of it might also have to do with Duncan being his role model as well. Maybe he actually listens. It's just a shame he couldn't put that much effort in Portland.

Didn't he give that douchebag Pat Riley credit for showing him the light, that he couldn't win it all by himself? Good for him.

LMA wasn't happy here, felt slighted from things YEARS ago and anyone else would have shrugged off. No surprise he is accepting of a role on a team that he has no baggage with that is full of Vets and the best coach in the NBA who will not hesitate to put him in his place.

It;s just crazy to me how he felt like dame took the spotlight when everything went through him even when he was making his decision. His 2nd pick was the Suns where he would be the leader, now all of a sudden he doesn't want that role and admits Kawhi as the leader. It's just crazy

The little kid who's father was never around felt slighted and unloved, so wanted to grow up and be an adult.

Then one day his dad came around and showed him what he was, a child. And finally, he accepted it.

He is weak minded it's pretty simple, he doesn't know what the hell he wants.
He knows he likes Texas money. Keep on posting- Those two beautiful women are a marvelous sight to see. Its a shame that actor in the middle spoils my entertainment.

Was shocked to see him moving so well without the ball last night..

Kawhi is a top player in this league, and LMA is what he's always been, a Robin.

It's a simple case of respect. LMA did not respect the coaches and their teachings as much as he does the well revered Pop. When a person actually respects another person that is "in charge" (so to speak) of them, they will give FAR more effort to do what they are being told. He ACTUALLY wants to be a better player for Pop than he ever wanted under Stotts etc.

We shall see how he feels if he doesn't make the all star team.

He's saying that shit about kwahi's team because he's putting up shit numbers and doesn't want to take responsibility for it.

One more thing; Popovich doesn't have to worry if Aldridge will leave when his contract is up, he'll be too old by then for it to matter. That had to always be hanging over Stotts' head. so probably felt he had to defer to Aldridge.

This is not exactly a surprise. Veteran players do this all the time when they go to a new team. Especially to a team who has won multiple championships. It's harder when you start with a team and younger players pass you by. Just like with any company in any industry, egos are bruised when newer employees get promotions over employee with more experience.

It also happens all the time when we want know certain starters would be better if they came off the bench. They often pout on one team, but have no problem with it after getting traded 1 or 2 times.

Whoa, I didn't know we had people that can see into the future on the forums.

Can you let me know the powerball numbers for Saturday's drawing?

Thanks in advance.

Winning cures everything. LaMarcus was never the leader but the team wasn't winning like they are new so it was easier for his jealousy or whining to come to the surface. Plus, he is on a team with his hero from his high school and college years so he has fit in to the 'little brother' role. It doesn't hurt that Pop is the coach either.

LaMarcus will coattail his way to the WCF and maybe even a title but it will be because of Kawhi, Parker, Duncan and Ginobili and he was a nice stat filler along the way.

He said he was willing to go to PHX.

We all knew LaMarCooch was going to do all the things for Popovich he wouldn't do here. That's what really stings.

I think it's also on Stotts. Playing team defense and being a team player are the things he couldn't do for us and maybe would have done if Popovich was our coach

Nah, LMA isn't even Robin - he's Cat Woman at best. Robin is Duncan, Alfred is Parker...Diaw is the utility belt.
