EDIT: Typed this up before I read the "Roy on Rudy" thread. Much of what I wrote is also talked about in that thread.
Good points in the OP, MIXUM.
For the PG situation, I think that'll be the toughest at first (returning players unsure of the first "big" acquisition we've had of an "outsider"). But I think once camp starts and the guys start playing, most will see the value of Miller and Blake based on how they play, not how they conduct summer interviews. And at that point it will be purely a minutes crunch, rather than a splitting-the-team issue. To give Blake credit, I haven't heard/seen any sniping or bitterness coming from him publicly.
For the SG, Rudy and/or Roy will have to get out-of-position minutes for Rudy to be happy and utilized best for the team. Personally, I think he's better suited to be on the floor as a 1/2 rather than making Brandon be a 2/3 in a smallball lineup, especially since I'd like to have Batum or Webs at the 3 at almost all times for defensive purposes. I think that, aside from turnover issues from trying to make too fancy of a pass sometimes, Rudy's got the tools to be a playmaker and shooter for us--fulfilling Blake's role in the offense from last year better than Blake can.
At the SF, I'd really like to see what Martell is able to do, and I'm optimistic that he'll be able to win the starting job. If he doesn't, that means that Nic beat him out with strong play, and I don't mind that either. 40-42 min or so from Webs/Batum at the 3 would be ok by me. And I don't think the team cares as much, since as you pointed out, they seem to like both guys.
Since I have to be contrarian at some point, I'd bring up that two of our biggest offseason needs (upgraded play at the 3 and at PG) seem to have been taken care of with getting Miller while Batum and (hopefully) Webster have improved their play. But as a lot of the preseason articles are pointing out, we're a bit thin at the 4/5. LMA/Oden/Przy are all high-quality players. But LMA is really our only 4/5. Oden and Przy can only play C. If an injury to one of the 3 happens, I don't like that we're relying on Howard to play 4/5 (or playing more Outlaw at 4 and LMA at 5). I think that's one reason we went after Millsap and drafted JP. I think I'd still like to see if there's someone like Okafor or Horford (probably dreams) or maybe Noah or Brandon Wright available--a younger, 4/5 type that's proven (probably already being paid big bucks) that can solidify a 3-man rotation of LMA/Oden/X for us, so that even if one of the 3 goes down with injury we still have 2 solid starters at the 4 and 5, and can fill backups in from there. Right now, we don't.
