As B-Roy posted on another thread, he made Love the for sure shoe in bench big.

That would only leave two "wildcard" all star spots. And quite frankly, Aldridge being a wild card would fucking piss me off! He should be starting. He's out performed Griffin easily and has almost identical stats offensively as Love. Difference, Aldridge has the best record in the league.

As for Dame, he's having a better year than Westbrook and Parker. I would be equally pissed if he got snubbed as well. In fact he's having a better year than steph too!

If the Blazers end to the All star break with the best record in the league with only one "wild card" allstar, it would be ridiculous!

Even Detroit had 3 all stars when they had the best record in the league!

Curry will get in because of last year's omission. Lillard will wait another year.

Keep winning and it will all work out in the end. Stotts will coach, and Dame and LA will be All-Stars with Wes in the 3pt comp.

Detroit had 4 All Stars that year

I don't really care about Bench spot vs Wild Card. They are basically the same thing. LMA won't start either way as he isn't going to be voted in by the fans.

He will be on the team regardless. Dame on the other hand is a different story. He SHOULD make it but I bet he doesn't.

I just totally forgot about LMA, he's a lock along with Love and Curry. The only bench locks imo.

Why? Coaches aren't like fans. If a player is deserving, they get a spot. The starters are obviously a different story. Fortunately the fans can only vote for 5 players. The real evaluators of talent get to pick the next 7.

That is so not true. It is much harder to get in your first all-star game than it is to get in your second. LMA found that out when he was snubbed in 10/11. Curry found that out last year. Fucking David Lee made the game over Steph Curry.

The problem here is, about 6 spots on the Eastern Conference All Star Team are wasted on Eastern Conference players.

Not sure if the "Why?" Was in regards to LMA or Dame.

I guess I will just go for both.

For LMA those voted in have always started unless they can't play due to injury.

For Dame it is just a hunch. Would love to be wrong and he definitely will make it in time if not this year.

They never were on the best team in the NBA. That's the main difference. If we keep the first place run, then the game changes!

I don't think Love or Curry are locks. Neither has his team in playoff position right now. There are far more deserving players like not only Lillard but Goran Dragic and Tim Duncan.

Tim Duncan is not more deserving then Love at this point this season. Last year for sure.

I agree that Curry isn't a lock though.

A snub would only make this team play harder and more pissed off.

They are huge stat guys, AND they get a lot of media attention. (And that's the kicker)

It sure does, you have to have the stats as well though. This isn't a lifetime achievement award.

We have the stats as well. Aldridge is the best performing big and dame has better stats than Curry, Parker and even Westbrook.

We are getting huge national exposure this season.

I'm talking individual player. LMA for sure is getting a ton of attention (and he's a lock), Lillard not as much (until these GWs). There's still time before the all-stars are decided, so we'll see what happens.

Lillard has gotten his fair share. I know us "Blazer fans" just can't accept something good coming our way, but we deserve it

In this case I was talking about Duncan vs Love. LMA is a lock. Dame has the stats but I could see him left out honestly.

The thing with Lillard is that there's just too many good guards out west.

It would actually be fucking hilarious if Stotts were coach of the West and the Blazers didn't have any players on the team. We would instantly become the biggest story of all star weekend.

Awkward.
