When I was at the BBQ I shook TP's, MB's, and Cho's hand. Both TP and MB had a solid handshake, but Cho's was very,,,hmmm, dainty I guess would be the best way to describe it. I don't know why exactly, but for some reason the droopy comment reminded me of that.

Bruce Lee had a soft handshake.

And we know what a pussy he was. :)

My wife at the time said it might just be a culture type thing. I mean I wouldn't judge much from it, but at the time it surprise me the stark contrast to the other two people's hand I shook.

At the start of a job interview at a CPA firm, the interviewer, a tall fat guy who managed the place, shook my hand. He broke it. I got through the interview in pain.

I got the job, went through at least a month of pain, and about 6 months later told him. He was surprised.

dain·ty   /ˈdeɪnti/
[deyn-tee]
adjective, -ti·er, -ti·est, noun, plural -ties.
–adjective
1. of delicate beauty; exquisite: a dainty lace handkerchief.
2. pleasing to the taste and, often, temptingly served or delicate; delicious: dainty pastries.
3. of delicate discrimination or taste; particular; fastidious: a dainty eater.
4. overly particular; finicky.

the first definition is what you mean right?

That's a lousy dictionary. Dainty has more meanings than that.

I hate when someone grabs your hand like it's a competition or grabs your fingers instead of your whole hand and crunches. I think because of my size some people do that thinking I'm going to shake their hand really hard or something which I don't.

Agree, I have arthritis in my fingers and it can really hurt when someone tries the bone-crushing handshake.

BTW, what did Cho actually say, if I may be permitted to ask?

Hi? I don't remember exactly. He was being hustle off to be interview with MB at the BBQ. When Barrett did the interview I was behind and to the side of them quite a bit away from them because I wouldn't have been able to see anything if I was in front of them being in a wheelchair. I didn't really hear what was said then.

Sorry, I meant what did he say on Courtside.

Hit the weight room, Nancy.

I didn't watch courtside because I had company over. I tried to record it to watch later, but comcast is upgrading or something and I couldn't do it. Anyone else have comcast and are having problems with it right now?

Blazer GM Rich Cho was on Courtside tonight. I picked up 4 things from the show.

1. Cho said Greg Oden would be cleared for 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 in a couple of weeks. When asked when Greg would be cleared for 5-on-5 he said he would wait to see how Greg did playing 3-on-3 before making that determination.

2. When asked if there would be further roster changes before the season starts, Cho said he was working on a couple of things to make the team better. I didn't take that to mean anything was imminent or even likely. He's just working on it.

3. Elliot Williams was finally cleared to play 5-on-5 today for the first time since he was drafted by the Blazers. The Mike's drooled over his 48" vertical.

4. The most important thing. Paul Allen got a clean bill of health last week from his doctors and looked very good during an interview with Mike Barrett.
