How is COVID19 gonna affect your holidays? Usually start booking flights by now, not even looking.

Prob wont end up going to Oregon for Thanksgiving and Christmas. First time in my life I'll miss it. But a lot of older relatives, don't want to expose/risk it even with a vaccine available.

All the college kids turning up will be on all those flights probably. Covid superspreaders.

Even then, the numbers in LA are way higher.

Not comfortable kicking it with family quite yet.

Also.....eww.

No trick or treating for my son probably

Thanksgiving won't change much. We have my mom over. Then usually have a second Thanksgiving at the wives parents house. Might not go there.

Christmas less presents under the tree maybe

Holiday shopping season will be a big bust. You think the unemployment numbers are bad now? Wait till next year.

Where does your fiance's family live? What are their plans?

Texas and Wyoming.

We are actually going to both spots within the next month. She isn't as overprotective as I am.

She's on call on Thanksgiving. We may go to Hawaii between Christmas and New Years if its open, we'll see whats up.

It sucks man. We didn't get a baby shower before Scarlett was born, and it doesn't look like she'll be meeting the extended family anytime soon.

Yeah, I haven't been able to see my little nephew grow up. I mean it hasn't been that long, but he will be a big boy by the next time I see him!

It's gonna be a lonely Christmas, but then most of my family is dead anyway. My wife has a sister and brother-in-law so they're the only ones we will be missing. The rest of her side are out of state.

This has actually really simplified everything for us......we are so flat broke, my wife and kids aren’t expecting anything.

IMO, Gifts are dumb anyway. Presence is the best gift of all.

I've already had to cancel 2 bookings in May and earlier this month, I think I'll wait a little while. A small spike and they'll shut down again. May do Christmas/New Years break, but I think it'll be too swamped with people.

governor and his lt. adamant that the plan will move fwd 0ct 15. the lt gov. josh green is an er doctor and responsible for the plan. 14 day interisland quarantine may get put back up but negative tests for mainland and international flight restrictions are very unlikely unless surges there are the reason.

add hawaiian airlines as another carrier offering pre travel test to avoid 14 day quaratnine

Hawaiian, United Airlines to Offer Drive-Through Pre-Travel COVID-19 Tests
Hawaiian Airlines will be offering drive-through COVID-19 tests in select US mainland gateways, allowing travelers to bypass Hawai‘i’s 14-day quarantine.

This announcement comes as the state gets ready to begin its pre-travel testing program, starting on Oct. 15. State officials hope the program will bring back tourism while also keeping communities safe from the potential spread of the coronavirus.
Travelers will be exempt from the state’s 14-day quarantine if they return a negative result after submitting to a test 72 hours prior to arrival in Hawai‘i. All arriving passengers, adults and children, will be required to take a test prior to their arrival in Hawai‘i. If the results are not available by the time they get to the state, officials say, those travelers will be required to quarantine until results are returned.
