Does Vermette skate against the Rangers? Is he traded to Rangers? Chicago? elsewhere?

Will Rangers be focused for the win? A game amidst rumors galore.

LOL...The Rangers are on MSG Plus again and College Basketball is on MSG.

LOL typical Talbot goal. At least he got it outta the way early tonight though.

Inconsistency is consistent. Oh boy, they missed a gimme.

This game has all the makings of a 3-1 loss. Smith is playing great despite all the great chances we've had and defensively we look shaky.

The PP just needs to shoot more. They've fallen back into the rut of pass pass pass and never shoot.

Man, I am really enjoying watching Kevin Hayes...kid has it going on!

Please just pull Talbot. Maybe it inspires the team to play better defensively but he's really struggling locating the puck all period. The first goal was awful, second goal he got caught cheating and playing the pass when he's supposed to play the shooter, and the third goal he lost the puck and couldn't find it. Like I said earlier though, this game has the feeling of a 3-1 loss with our team looking sloppy defensively, and Smith playing out of his mind tonight.

this idiot is never in a position to make a save, the first goal was shit, 94 you're right he got caught cheating on the second goal, and the third goal he let it go right through the 5 hole.

I cant believe this guy is 7-1-2 letting in so many goals. If the offense wasnt clicking they would have been 2-7-1..

You shouldn't be calling this guy an idiot. He's done an amazing job as a backup goalie. You should be kissing his ass that he's given this team so much for so cheap the past 2 years.

Now that the site is back.....defense has played tighter for Talbot. Not great but better than the first.

the d has been absolutely brutal tonight. Lazy half ass efforts from many players.

can someone explain to me why the fourth line plays every other shift in third. No wonder we have sucked in this period.

Victorious!!!!! Guess who's tied for first?

My god, you guys bitch so much....take the points and be happy! It's their backup goalie going 8-1-2....If I told you when Hank went down with an injury that the Rangers would go 9-1-2 over their next 12 games you would've said there is no fucking way that could happen.

Now begins the real tough stretch starting with Philly on the road. Gotta play better to keep this pace.

Yup, the easier stretch is over, and we did an AWESOME job piling up the points, now the brutal stretch starts with a game at Philly Saturday night. 6 very tough games with 5 on the road. We do well over this stretch and we'll finish 1st for sure. And hopefully Sather gets us an extra player or 2 by Monday to help during this stretch. Let the fun begin.

Being outplayed most of the game [ losing 43 of 68 FO, being outchecked,
shoddy D ], this team dug in and won a game that was labeled a loss for most
of the game. 2 POINTS. Move on.

Here we go...................next 2 weeks

@ PHI --- NSH @ DET @ CHI @ NYI @ WAS @ BUF --- FLA

Hoping the team gets some reinforcements to get them through
and to the SC.

Greyv, I did not think they would win 9 of 12, and 20 pts out of 24.
( I was hoping for 6/7 wins).
Big accomplishment for this Ranger team......with their back up goaler.

I don't consider Philly tough other than being a rival. They're stupid for the most part as always.

The game is National TV. They'll be up for this game. Did you think
Zona would outplay Rangers last night? Besides, I did not call
them 'tough'. 71, please disregard.

Speaking of 'tough'...............hope Sather finds some tough
hockey players.

Curtis Glencross maybe. How can the Rangers not be on this clowns list? He's played for suck ass teams his whole career

That's not that tough of a stretch. Rangers own Philly beyond belief. Chicago is not nearly as tough without Kane who is their best player. Buffalo blows. Florida doesn't 'match up well with the Rangers at all. Rangers usually shut Ovie down. Rangers also play well against Detroit. I was surprised how they played the last time they went at it. There is no reason they shouldn't get at least 10 points of those games.

We'll agree to disagree on that one dump. I focus on the next 6 (forget Buff and Florida). 5 are on the road. At Philly will be tough (primetime on NBC still battling for a playoff spot). Nashville has most points in he NHL. Then 4 very tough road games (Hawks still tough without Kane). So I disagree. I do think that is a very tough 6 game stretch. If we come away with 6 points I would be fine with that.
