What? You didn't see this news in the paper a month ago?

Happy days, HAPPY DAYS!

Program couldn't get any worse, with Cooke leaving Beavs were/are on their way to 0-18 again.

Glad he's gone...that said, I've got to admit I bought into him the first couple of years. After that, it's been a train wreck.

Man, I miss the old Orange Express days. Steve Johnson, Rob Holbrook, Ray Blume, Jeff Stout, Mark Radford, etc. OSU basketball used to be such a blast, but it's been a LONG time since that was true.

^^ Me too. I was excited and had hope he'd get things rolling when we hired him. He didnt get the job done. Adios Craig!
GO BEAVS!

So long, Craig. Don't let the golden parachute hit you in the ass on the way out.

Ben Howland is being thrown around. I would be giddy.

Good for the Beavs they needed to rid of that joke of a coach. Now, will they open up their pockets or just grab another mediocre up and comer?

I'd be interested to see what Howland would do without multiple NBA players on his team, other than bore everybody watching his team play.

How many NBA players did he have on his teams at Pittsburgh?

Maybe they can replace him with the other Craig Robinson

Why not give Gary Payton a shot? Surely he couldn't do any worse than Robinson and I'm sure Payton could recruit guys

Does Jackie Moon have any interest? Although he may be a little reticent to coach against UCLA. Or Cal.

How many Final Fours did he make at Pitt?

Zero, just the sweet 16 twice. What garbage, you're right. Beavs should be going after Izzo or Coack K, what was I thinking.

The Beavs should look into Brad Underwood at Stephen F. Austin. He went 32-3 last season and he was at K-State for a long time.

I just would really like someone with a track record of winning and turning programs around. Howland fits both of those. I don't think the program can afford to go after an up and comer.

I heard a donor ponied up the $4mill to get rid of Robinson.

I just don't want OS to overpay another coach, and then have the taxpayers of Oregon pay to set that guy up for life after he fizzles out, too.

In their defense, Craig was pretty well set up for life from his wall street days.

I just think what he did at Northern Arizona and Pittsburgh speaks volumes of him being more than just a product of UCLA recruiting.

Then he should have insisted that he didn't need 10 years of PERS eligibility that he'll now get for the rest of his life. I forgot, though. He's one of the good 1%, along with Steyer, Zuckerberg, etc. etc.
