I was happy with Crawford's game tonight. He had 8 assists and passed up shots he would otherwise take to facilitate for his teammates, and the team played much better because of it. He's a better point guard than Felton, when he isn't jacking up shots or driving one-on-five. He's a good shooter too when he's catching the ball in the flow of the offense instead of throwing up crap school yard shots.

What amazed me was Nate apparently kept yelling at him to stop passing the ball. That's just crazy.

No surprise. He plans to get offers this summer and probably go to another team.

Crawford's deal is for two years and $10.2 million combined, but the second season is a player option and he fully intends on retesting the market in the summer.

Maybe. I've been complaining about it all season. Except Crawford was really looking for and getting the ball to Nico last night -- passing up a lot of shots he usually takes in the process, and ignoring Nate screaming at him to shoot it. Unless maybe Nico made a comment about him FINALLY passing him the ball.

Nate was screaming for Crawford to shoot the ball because it causes the defense to immediately collapse on Crawford because they think he will shoot the ball. This causes Batum to be wide open for an easy 3pt shot. Instead of Nate being an idiot this was a prearranged strategy between Nate, Crawford and Batum.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Well I'm not too concerned with Crawford as much as let's say Batum posting something like that. But if crawford is whining then he better do something about it. If he wants love then play to force the team and fans to love him.

It's not like he's some marquee player we are stuck with. Either play as a team player or go somewhere that doesn't mind you taking more shots than your most efficient players.

From that quote I gave, I think that was his agent's strategy all along. He will collect offers this summer not because of any emotional experience with the Blazers this year (whether good or bad), but because that was already the plan.

If he has a bad year here, he won't get a better offer and will stay here. If he has a good year here, he'll get a better offer and leave. So we can't win. Same as usual.
