I know I am in the extreme minority on this, but to me, all this does is push us down further in the draft making it harder to rebuild. Also a player option next year eats up cap space. Takes away playing time from young guys that we need to see if they can play.

I'll be honest I don't think he moves the win-loss needle much at all; he'll provide some offense, but he could end up giving it all back with his _efense. The cap room issue and PT for young guys is a valid concern though. Oh well.

Makes you wonder how smart Crawford is. Indiana offered him a 2-year deal for $10 million, but he turned it down for the 1-year deal from Portland so he could "cash in" on free-agency next year.

But by then he'll be a 12-year vet. I really wonder if he'll get better offers next summer . . .

I think that's a little misleading. Crawford is one of those players that can make/miss 10 in a row. It maybe a bad thing, but he is a volume shooter type. He doesn't have a problem shooting the three; which I thought Fernandez had issues with.
