Oh yeah. Chris paul would bitchslap his ass around the court until he figured out how to play team ball and defense
Remember when he laid into westbrick on the bench during a timeout i think?
what I'm saying is what I said....the Suns had an opportunity to add an elite player, and they assumed the risk and took the opportunity, After suffering thru 10 seasons of Olshey-myopia, a GM that will swing for the fences like the Suns GM did is impressive

I'm not saying anything about whether or not Olshey has been active, just that the Suns opportunity to trade for Chris Paul isn't comparable to any opportunity Olshey has ever had.
The Suns got a star at a position of need for salary filler and a 1st. What star forward could Olshey have gotten that he passed up on for a package like that (or even remotely close to that)? It's especially funny when you consider that Olshey has ALREADY traded for Chris Paul before.

Olshey could have made legitimate offers for Paul George and Jimmy Butler but he held CJ, a player at least a couple of tiers below those two players, untouchable in trade talks.
that's not to say the other teams would have viewed CJ as worthy, but at least the Blazers would have given it a good shot...just like Phoenix did
in the last 5 years, a lot of elite players have been traded. Several more than once, including Chris Paul. Sure doesn't sound like the Blazers were serious bidders in any of those trade talks

But he was willing to trade salary filler and 2 firsts for RoCo. Meanwhile, 1 of those firsts and filler got flipped for Woods. There is a fine line between "reasons" and "excuses."
