I would want tony Allen in this trade as well. His veteran leadership and defense but I don’t know the rules and options to make it happen. But I honk this is actually feasible. It really balances out both teams rosters. I know some people won’t like this. But it would also help our salary cap situation

I’m willing to give up our #1 pick with Harkless, Leonard and Davis to obtain Jordan and Williams. Here’s why:

This trade is as much about what we get rid of versus who we are obtaining. We can experiment with Nurkic / Jordan and if this does not help us against the conference power teams - we can trade either player over the Summer (sign & trade in Nurkic’s case) and Lou Williams will come off the books at the end of the season. Perhaps we resign him, perhaps we use him in a sign & trade. In any case, we berid ourselves of Harkless, Leonard and Davis and untie our hands this Summer for all kinds of flexibility. And if healthy, we go deep into the playoffs with the addition of Jordan and Williams versus being playoff hopefuls with Harkless, Leonard and Davis.

Jordan is free agent in the Summer if he opts out and he probably does.

Also, Clippers would be insane to trade them for bad contracts when teams like Bucks or Cavs would actually offer them something back. Davis has absolutely zero value for them when they will be going for the tank, Harkless is much worse than Galinari and Meyers is even worse, $20M a year down the drain in their situation.

Jordan IMO has to go to Bucks. Bucks should IMO trade Jabari and two overpaid players (probably Teletovic and Dellavedova) for Jordan and Williams.

A rotation of Bledsoe, Williams, Snell, Brogdon, Middleton, Giannies, Jordan and Maker would be good.

I'm not going to give a scenario, but I'm all about asset acquisition that we could trade down the road.

The leadership of Lillard has paid off huge with Nurkic.

This floundering prospect needs a change of culture and scenery. I can see him as instant offense off the bench, the same way OKC utilized Kanter. I know his skillset isn't ideal for this era, but he is a legit post-scoring big. The polar opposite to Vonleh.

To Portland:
Jahlil Okafor

To Philly:
?

To Portland:
Mario Hezonja

To Orlando:
?
Why do we need Okafor? Herzonja is a bust with a weaker mentality than Meyers Leonard. His ceiling would be at the level Harkless was at last year.

We don't need more middling role players. We need good starters. No more bargain hunting, we have enough mediocre pieces off of that style of thinking.

Go big or do nothing.

Henson, Dellevedova, Parker, and Teletovic for Jordan and Gallinari is what I'd do if I were them.

Bledsoe / Brogdon
Middleton / Brogdon
Gallinari / Snell
Giannis / Maker
Jordan / Maker

Everything you said is correct. However, I think he could turn things around just by being around Dame.

A move for Okafor and Hezonja is about turning duds into assets.

Much like what is happening with Napier.

What could we get in return for Napier... a 2nd round pick? He's not much of an asset.

Barnes for harkless, 1st round and Swanigan or another thing to match up if they dont accept harkless and a 1st round.

We need a big move. A change at SF can really turn the corner for us.

NYK Gets: Deandre Jordan, Maurice Harkless
LAC Gets: Evan Turner, Meyers Leonard, Enes Kanter, Lance Thomas, 2018 NYK 1st, 2018 BOS 1st, 2018, 2020, (maybe 2022?) POR Lotto Protected 1sts
BOS Gets: Ed Davis
POR Gets: Blake Griffin, Danillo Gallinari, Kyle O'Quinn (TPE)

Lillard (36) / Napier (12) / Baldwin
McCollum (36) / Connaughton (12) / Wilcox
Aminu (16) / Gallinari (32) / Layman
Griffin (34) / Aminu (14) / Collins / Swanigan
Nurkic (30) / Vonleh (18) / O'Quinn

Isn't Griffin out with another injury? Otherwise I think he would work here. Just can't stand the injuries from a guy who depends on his athleticism so much.

Obviously it would be dumb to trade him now.

He's turning into an asset. The biggest takeaway from his acquisition so far is that he's progressed in his development and looks to be like he can be a Patty Mills type of backup guard. He was floundering in Orlando.

The same thing that is happening with Okafor and Hezonja.

I get the logic, and if we needed bench players and had the right combination of top level talent I'd be all for it. I just want someone else on Dames and CJs level. If it's Blake Griffin then so be it.

Very involved trade. Crazy is a good word. Why would the Clippers take Meyers? You think Boston would give up a 1st rounder for Davis? I would do it if I were portland, but man a lot has to fall into place.

Yes, Boston has 5 first round picks over the next two years, their pick should be 28-30, they have a need for another big man and injured player exception which they can use to trade for up to $8M in expiring contracts only. Sounds like a perfect fit.

If LAC trades BG and DJ, they'll be rebuilding. Therefore, it won't matter what they get back.

Crazy = 4 team trades

Yes. If that makes it easier to get him then do it. We need that 3rd star, and he'd be it.

I'd go to Memphis and offer Turner, Meyers, and a 1st for Parsons. (See if we could pry away Tyreke Evans as well)

Parsons is averaging 15 Points Per 36 and shooting 52% from the field and 48% from 3pt.
He'd fit much better than Turner. This trade would also save us apx. $4M, which would take us under the luxery tax.

I would trade CJ for Robert Covington and some combination of
Fultz, Saric, Korkmaz and Luwawu-Cabarrot (Philly gets to choose)

I bet Philly would value Covington more than CJ, though, if only because Covington fits with them so well and is a very good defender.

You're acting like getting rid of Davis is a good thing. I'm penciling him in as our 4th best player right now.

Dame
CJ
Nurk
Davis.

More crazy trades that nobody thinks are possible:

My role player pipedream:

Trade 1: Evan Turner, Noah Vonleh, 2020 1st for Evans and Parsons

Trade 2:
BOS Gets: Ed Davis
POR Gets: 2018 BOS 1st

Trade 3:
NYK Gets: Maurice Harkless, Shabazz Napier, Jake Layman 2019 MIN/LAL 2nd, 2021 POR 2nd
MIA Gets: 2018 POR 1st, 2018 BOS 1st
POR Gets: Courtney Lee (TPE), James Johnson, Kyle O'Quinn

Lillard (35) / McCollum (13)
McCollum (21) / Lee (22) / Evans (5)
Evans (22) / Parsons (21) / Aminu (5)
Aminu (21) / Johnson (27)
Nurkic (30) / O'Quinn (15) / Johnson (3)

That team would be so good. Best bench in the league. If we could only improve our role players.
