So with the signing of GP2, I'll take a swag at what our rotations look like "currently". Maybe we're not done yet tweaking the roster for this free agency period, but I'm excited to watch the current group come together next year.

I didn't put much thought into shifts/substitution patterns, just overall minutes/rough estimates. Close? What do you guys think?

PG
Dame 38
Simons 10

SG
Simons 20
Hart 15
GP2 10
Sharpe 3

SF
Little 25
Sharpe 10
Hart 8
GP2 5

PF
Grant 32
Winslow 12
Watford 4

C
Nurk 35
Watford 8
Eubanks 5

Perhaps a big hole at backup C?

So currently, you don’t have Payton playing?

I know what Joe said about Sharpe but I really don't think there actually going count on him at the beginning of the season. I think they will slowly bring him along this year. Remember he hasn't played in game for awhile.

Dame 32 / Ant 16
Ant 16 / Payton 18 / Sharpe 14
Hart 28 / Little 20
Grant 30 / Winslow 10/ Little 8
Nurk 28 / Watford 20

ugh
Watford at 20 minutes might turn out well. He’d have Jokic exhausted but would get schooled offensively by a lot of starting centers. Will need to watch for fouls.

We will on Sharpe if he in the rotation at the start of the season. He might get there by all star break and reason I say that there's players ahead that already NBA ready and for that reason I don't see billups have rush him in his progress. Plus does anybody really know anything about this kid except what did in highschool. All saying there no rush for this kid at start of the season.

I see most of you have given Hart more minutes at the 3. I was actually coming to post something similar after reading about the logjam at the 2.

Whether it is the right choice or not, I think the signing of GP2 was a strong indicator that management views Hart at SF.

I see a 3 guard lineup of Dame, Ant, and GP2
Hart and Little at the 3
Grant and Winslow at the 4
Nurk and Eubank at the 5.

Watford will get his chance at backup PF/C
The rest.....who knows at this point how quickly they will develop, but injuries will give them their chance.

How good do people think backup Centers in 2022 are? It’s like an NFL team saying ugh our Fullback sucks.

Pretty important based on how often most centers get hurt. I get your point that centers are not as important as they used to be. But regardless of what you call them, someone needs to protect the rim and guard other bigs.

Sure. But we have a backup center. The Celtics backup Center us Luke Kornet. The Bulls is Tony Bradley. Is drew Eubanks worse than them?

how would this change if we acquired thybulle without giving up anything in return?

Dame (32) / Ant (16)
Ant (16) / Hart (16)/ GP2 (16)
Thybulle (24)/ Hart (12)/ Little (12)
Grant (28) / Little (12)/ Watford (8)
Nurk (28) / Watford (12)/ Eubanks (8)

Dame - 32
Ant - 32
Grant - 28
Hart - 28
Nurk - 28
Little - 24
Thybulle - 24
Watford - 20
GP2 - 16
Eubanks 8

I don't like that. Everyone would have to play up a position and we'd completely remove Sharpe from the rotation.

How do we get him without giving up anything? Where is Winslow in that scenario? I honestly prefer Hart starting over Thbulle. Not quite as good of a defender as Tybulle but he is still a better 2-way player.

I prefer Nas over both.

we can take him into our Roco TPE and stay below the apron if we stretch Bledsoe. Would have to give up a pick of some sort. it helps Philly open up capspace if Harden decides to not take as big a paycut.

I guess I should have read the "hard cap and you" thread in more detail. I thought we could not bring in more than we send out.

Nurk has averaged 30+ mpg once in his career. Getting 30+ from him is a major task. Part of why I’ve championed the cause he isn’t worth more than 12.5 per year.

Sharpe needs to play early and often. He needs game time reps, not practice reps… in order to get better.

Reminds me of the G league coach for Dyson Daniels saying he got much better partially because they let him grow during the season “in games” and they didn’t just pull him.

Gotta let him suck up the Rose Garden for a little bit in order for him to bust out after ASG.
