Current Roster and Minutes Distribution

Nurk has averaged 30+ mpg once in his career. Getting 30+ from him is a major task. Part of why I’ve championed the cause he isn’t worth more than 12.5 per year.

Sharpe needs to play early and often. He needs game time reps, not practice reps… in order to get better.

Reminds me of the G league coach for Dyson Daniels saying he got much better partially because they let him grow during the season “in games” and they didn’t just pull him.

Gotta let him suck up the Rose Garden for a little bit in order for him to bust out after ASG.

Or he could get consistent minutes in the G league like Dyson did until he has improved enough to play for us by the end of the season.

I guess I should have read the "hard cap and you" thread in more detail. I thought we could not bring in more than we send out.
All good. I dont get 90% of it either.

We can use our tpe to do that as long as we stay under the apron. Thybulle makes about 4.5 mil. If we stretch Bledsoe we can bring that contract for MT in

Not a fan because his role will be much different next to Dame/Ant … and we don’t have a G league affiliate

I know what Joe said about Sharpe but I really don't think there actually going count on him at the beginning of the season. I think they will slowly bring him along this year. Remember he hasn't played in game for awhile.
He probably played in a game yesterday.

Dame 35......Payton 20
Simons 35...Sharpe 10
Hart 30.......Little 22
Grant 32.....Winslow 18
Nurk 28......Watford 10

Dame (34)/ Simons (14)
Simons (20)/ GPII (20)/ Hart (8)
Little (27)/ Hart (21)
Grant (32)/ Winslow (16)
Nurkic (30)/ Watford (18)

This is when everyone's healthy. No team stays healthy. Sharpe will get his minutes as guys miss time. Though I guess there's the chance that he's just undeniable right from the jump, in which case, he probably takes Winslows' minutes...

Dame (34)/ Simons (14)
Simons (20)/ GPII (20)/ Sharpe (8)
Little (12)/ Hart (28)/ Sharpe (8)
Grant (32)/ Little (16)
Nurkic (30)/ Watford (18)

Regardless of who starts I want to see this lineup: Ant, Hart, Nas, Grant, Nurk
I want to see Ant-Keon-Sharpe-Nas-Brown. Bounciest 5-man group in the league.

I want to see Dame, Hart, Nas, Grant, and Nurk. With Ant being 6th man of the year in the John Havlicek role . Look him up youngsters, and see how a 6th man can actually lead his team in scoring and become a Hall of Famer.

You can't put GP2 in the PG spot. If the answer is to pair him with a primary ballhandler like Simons, then effectively he's playing SG. Maybe swap assignments on defense, but PG doesn't fit GP2's offensive game.

I don't disagree with this.

My backups weren't slotted into a pure position, otherwise there would be times with 6 men on the court and others with 4. I had 55 minutes of PG's and 38 minutes of centers.

I just listed 5 guys behind each starter, GP2 is more at the PG/SG position that Sharpe (who might play some 3)

PG
Dame 35
Simons 13

SG
Simons 22
Payton 20
Sharpe 6

SF
Hart 30
Little 14
Sharpe 4

PF
Grant 32
Little 8
Winslow 8

C
Nurk 28
Watford 10
Winslow 10

Totals
Dame 35
Simons 35
Grant 30
Hart 30
Nurk 28
Little 22
Payton 20
Winslow 18
Watford 10
Sharpe 10

This is if everyone is healthy and available. Of course some guys will miss time, so actual minute averages of backups will be higher and there will be more than 10 guys who play.
