I'd love to see a heads up final table with Phil Ivey and George Costanza. That'd be epic.

Phil Hellmuth there would be pretty hilarious too. The exasperated sighs as George hits lucky break after lucky break and ends up eliminating Phil on a 9/3 off-suit would be funny.

"exasperated sighs"? I think we'd hear the nuclear meltdown from Hellmuth's hissy fit in here in Portland.

I think it would start with exasperated sighs at the beginning. But you are right we would hear the nuclear meltdown up here.

Yeah, Hellmuth would great for entertainment purposes. Some people hate him so much... but I love seeing him meltdown. I'd like to see Ivey though win it all.. the guy hasn't won the big one yet.

I'm with Main on rooting for Ivey. But I'd probably pay money to see Phil Helmuth and Mike the Mouth sit at another table together. Just awesome to watch those two argue and fight.

I met Phil Helmuth at the Nissan Open in LA...It was wierd, he had his "PH" hat, his glasses, and headphones...like he was at a poker table...that dude loves to stroke his ego

Yeah.. the dude's ego is way out of control. Did you actually meet him, or did he walk by you and you said 'Hey, there's Phil Hellmuth!" haha..

What are the chip counts now? Or does anyone have a link to a chip count page?

having been entertained by him and gavin smith on the circuit/pokerroad radio for the last 3 years i have to root for sebok. currently 502k just above average going into day 5.

in terms of recent results in big NLHE tourneys the biggest "notable" isn't even on that list - elky (bertrand grospellier)

Saturday was one of the shortest days of play in World Series of Poker main event history, but it didn’t lack for action.

Day four of the main event wrapped up before 8 p.m. local time — extremely early by WSOP standards — and completed three levels of play. The field was reduced from 789 players to just 407 as the competitors reached the money.

Day 3’s chip leader, Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, didn’t hold to his spot atop the field, and in fact lost a few chips in moving down to 1.25M. But he’s still in the top 20 in chips.

The chip leader is Matt Affleck (1.89M), who has just one small cash in his WSOP career, and that came this year. Other notables near the top of the counts are Blair Hinkle (1.4M, won a bracelet in 2008) and Phil Ivey (1.27M), who already won a pair of bracelets at this WSOP. Dan Harrington, who made back-to-back final tables in the 2003 and 2004 main events, is sitting at around 700K.

Among the big names who busted on Saturday were Phil Hellmuth, Greg “FBT” Mueller (won a pair of bracelets this year) Hevad Khan (2007 main event final table), and Chris Ferguson (former main event champion).

Day 5 is today as we close in on a final table. Check back for more main event updates at PTP throughout the event.

Farmar busted towards the end of day 3

bad news for Ivey fans. He just went from 1.2 mil to 200k in a few hands.

Oh no! Is he still in?

yes Ivey improbably came all the way back to 1.4 or so yesterday, as of 3:10 PST today over 2M and in around #22-23 place with 136 left.

for High Stakes Poker fans, antonio esfandieri is in great shape at #27 or so.

sebock fading, needs to double up very soon :sigh:

You must admit that Ivey is epic. He consistently wins big pots year after year.

what's more amazing is that with about 2% of the field left 2 of last year's Nov. 9 Dennis Phillps and the champ Peter Eastgate have survived and are (by random draw) at the same table right now.
