D-League Draft tomorrow

Only one guy from Oregon/OSU: F Joevan Catron, 6'6" 235
From UW: Abdul Gaddy, PG 5'10", G Scott Suggs, 6'6" 195

Rules:

8 rounds, no trades.

It doesn't necessarily matter which D-League team drafts a player--as long as they're not a player whose draft rights are held by an NBA team (for instance, if we sent Leonard to Idaho another team can't sign him), but if Idaho drafts Abdul Gaddy and he becomes awesome, he can be signed by any NBA team to their roster.

I think they should reduce active rosters to 10 and increase max roster size to 18. Then teams could routinely have 5-8 guys active on their Dleague team. It'd be more of a true farm system. Guys like Meyers Leonard would have to prove themselves at a lower level which would be good for their development and give us more proven players. If we had three extra replacement level players on our roster last season they probably would've beaten out our bench and gotten into the rotation.

No. He can be signed as a free agent to the Blazers and assigned with his consent to the Stampede (as a 3rd-year player). He can try out with any team and be awarded a D-league contract.

I doubt Paul would have anything to do with a DLeague draft.

Most likely advanced scouts.
