Marc Stein mentions that he should be Dallas' first option, and since the Mavericks attempted to get him before, they might resurrect an offer for him.

I will love to see Kidd and Dirk that duo will be mad crazy.Plus i want to see Kidd be a champion and with Dirk seems like a future good championship team.

That would be an interesting trade, I certainly wouldn't mind Josh Howard or Devin Harris. I know they aren't giving up Dirk, but if we're gonna trade Kidd we might as well start re-building with younger talent like Harris and/or Howard.
