Richard Jefferson is currently sixth in the NBA in scoring
and third in the Eastern Conference in scoring.

Josh Boone leads all second year players (tied
with LaMarcus Aldridge) with eight double
doubles on the season.

Vince Carter has the third highest combined points/
rebounds/ assists total amongst Eastern
conference guards at 31.2
points/rebounds/assists.

Jason Kidd recorded the 99th triple double of his
career at Charlotte on 2/8/08 with 19 points, 13
assists and 11 rebounds.

Over the last five game Josh Boone has shot .786 (22-of-28)
from the field and over his last six games
Boone has connected on .765
(26-of-34 of his shots).

The Nets are looking for their first win against a Southwest Division
opponent tonight against the Mavericks€the Nets are currently 0-3 against
Southwest Division opponents this season.

With Swift averaging 1.00 blocks and rookie Sean Williams rejecting 1.93 shots
per contest this year, the Nets now have two players
that average at least 1.00 block per contest for the first time since
Kenyon Martin averaged 1.66 blocks and Todd MacCulloch averaged
1.44 blocks per game during the 2001-02 season.

Injuries

None

Erick Dampier (sprained right ankle) is day-to-day.
Devin Harris (left ankle bone bruise) is out.

Prediction
The Mavs have too many weapons to be defended by an inconsistent NJ club. With Dampier, out, and Dirk not the most
physical post player, perhaps Stromile Swift can get more minutes. Highlights might be all the Nets have to look forward to
in this one.

Now if only Frank would take a gamble and play them both early and at the same time

Check out Jigga getting creative with the videos.

im so sick of that intro they use at the games they really need to change it up

wow- just gotta say this is the best game thread I think I've seen. Love the breakdown on it.
I hope the Nets put up a decent fight in this one. That's all I ask for.
the good news is that there's games on ABC and ESPN all day so I can always just change the channel

Nice game thread man, good lookin out.

I hope Stro plays tonight cause I'll probably watch this game.

GO NETS!

I'm so going to use them for the next preview.

why there is word "passion" appears right when Vince comes out in the first clip Jigga posted? should have been "resentment" IMO.

Calling out Barea exploding on us. Hopefully Dallas gets impressed with Kidd and trades for him.

What's up man, I see you on all the forums
Grizzlies forum, Insidehoops, you're the biggest Stro fan I've ever seen

I watched the whole nets game on Friday just waiting for him to play and he finally got 2 min and 39 sec at the end of the game. I'm praying he gets more PT tonight. Got it playing right now from channelsurfing.. wewt go #6, go nets

Yeah there's a couple of Stro fans on the forums and I'm one of them. I'm stro4swift on RealGM and on the Grizzlies board, now I switched to stro6swift lol...I don't think I'm the biggest Stro fan but I've followed him since 2003 and I think this is his last chance to prove himself.

I've always wanted to see him play with JKidd so I was happy with the trade, now it's just about him getting PT.

Welcome, Stro fans! Hope you enjoy S2. If you need anything, PM me!

Btw, I hope Stro gets some burn tonight. It's obvious we suck, and we're likely to lose..so I'd at least like to see some entertainment this game!

Hm. Well, thanks for the feedback, soul driver! I believe I'll use the same format and do the same with the next game thread, instead of using MNFL's lame game threads

Man, I missed Nenad. Such and underrated center. Cannot wait till he is actually back in his form.

Sean just got screamed at for leaving his man.

Our bench also sucks.

Wow. I loved that play, where Kidd just passed it to Sean for the bucket.

It was great. Kidd posted up, everyone moving around, so there's multiple options, and the big getting position down low for an easy bucket.

I love seeing Sean use the full array of his moves. I wish we'd call more plays for him when he's got it going.

Wow. That pissed me off, right there. Jefferson took a chance on a steal, but made no effort at all to get back in front of his man (Dirk, btw) to defend or box out. He made no effort to jump for the rebound.

No effort at all. It was quite a depressing sight. Honestly, I hope Jefferson picks up another foul and has to sit out.

There we go. No one at all on Diop. Who was guarding him, Boki or Sean? I mean, Boki was in the middle of nowhere. and Sean wasn't anywhere to be seen.

Sean's not displaying good defense. He's playing too much help defense, whether by his own liking or because of Frank telling him to. And it's really bothering me, because he's leaving Diop wide open, and basically handing him the easy bucket.

RJ a walking mistake so far today. Where has VC's stroke gone. I don't get it. He misses so many easy ones. He should be 5-6 today so far.

Wow. VC makes a play and the entire rest of the team turns down a shot. Wow. No one wants to shoot.

Tim Duncan or the "Next Tim Duncan"?
