Dame gets no love from the refs

This is why I hate the NBA.

Dame is 28th in the league in FTA at 5.1 per game.

That's ridiculous considering he's 7th in the league in scoring behind (rank in FTA):

1. Steph Curry (#17)
2. James Harden (#1)
3. Paul George (Tied for #7)
4. Kevin Durant (Tied for #12)
5. LeBron James (#9)
6. Russell Westbrook (Tied for #4)

I find it strange that Curry and Lillard are ranked so low in FTA, but Lillard is the only player not even in the top 20 in FTA.

By comparison, Dame takes 36.7% of his shots within 10 feet.

1. Steph Curry 27.8% within 10 feet.
2. James Harden 35.1%
3. Paul George 22.8%
4. Kevin Durant 28.4%
5. LeBron James 56.1%
6. Russell Westbrook 41.7%

So despite Dame attempting the 3rd most shots within 10 feet of that list of scorers, he's 28th in FTA. What happened to rewarding aggressive players?

WOW thats crazy. I been noticing that for years as well. The guy hands down gets no love from refs since his rookie year. I think its because he plays for a small market and his name isnt as huge yet. But I guess his name is pretty big hes one of adidas biggest paid players. I really dont know what the hell it is..

Indiana is a pretty small market. OKC is a small market. I don't think market has anything to do with it necessarily. I just think the NBA hates Portland in general

Think Dame needs to sell that contact. He isn't like Harden or Westbrook who drive in flailing their arms, bumping their guys, while looking JUST for a foul. Dame cares too much about not getting hit hard and making the shot.

He doesn't exaggerate contact, doesn't have a track record of getting fouled. and also the Blazers aren't a good team so we tend to get shafted.

Dame also tends to avoid contact, but he should definitely average more foul shots than he's getting right now.

Yeah Portland has never had the respect of the officials...the Blazers should just ignore the officials, don't say anything to them, just get back to the other end of the court and play D and get the ball back. Don't give the officials any more power to decide the game.

Even if you were serious that won't accomplish anything. If a referee is assaulted, you most certainly will be prosecuted and the referee gets a check from the state. The size of the check will depend on what level the referee was officiating. More taxpayer dollars. So realistically, if anybody wants to meet me at Mount Tabor after any of my games, I need a check so let's do it!
