Some of y'all don't know what you're talking about...

Ed Davis is the hardest worker on the team. Dame Included.

For those of you who think Vonleh can do what Ed does Yeah... No...:

I REALLY HOPE Ed doesn’t go anywhere. Besides bsing my favorite player on the roster, he’s the heart and soul if you ask me.

His only negative is that he can't (or won't) shoot from more than a few feet from the basket. He's extremely effective inside. A terrific rebounder at both ends. Hustles, plays defense. Efficient on offense.

Playing him alongside Nurk would seem to clutter the lane too much, which is probably why Ed isn't starting at PF.

Ed seems a special case. I deleted the post I was about to write earlier a couple of times (cuz collusion), but I think this is the opposite of the LMA situation. Yeah, it would really suck to lose Ed for nothing, so it's tempting to trade high on him, but if he signs an MLE-esque deal to stick around a few years I think that's totally worth it. If he'd give a hometown discount we get a bonus of 2 players being really happy where they are and look like not-the-dicks to other FAs.

That is why I love him. Does more with less than most. Can be quite effective and efficient without having to run a single play for him. Reminds of B-Grant. Brian had a bit more of a post game, but so do I for that matter. Ed is a beast and needs to be here next season and on.

I'm fine with keeping Ed if other moves are made. Love his work ethic.

Agreed. Obviously, it's great to have Swiss Army knife guys who can do lots of things, but guys who have specialties, know it, stick to them, and do them effectively are often just as valuable if not moreso.

The HCP is The Ed Davis of RipCityTWO

I don't think that's a negative. He's a junk yard dog. Every team needs one of those. I wish we had 2.

Can @HCP use his ED skills to gillooly whomever is missing Blazer plays because they are busy showing highlights?

In all honesty, I was thinking that you were the Ed Davis of Blazer Broadcasting. You're not Jeff Curtin, and you don't try to be, but you may be one of the best around at what you do.
See I hope he sees this.....I tell him I’m the Ed of BB too and he says more like Armon Johnson!

To me, Ed is kind of like the black Przybilla. He rebounds, plays tough defense, sets great screens, knows his role and knows his limits. What he does, he does exceptionally well, and he doesn't hurt you by trying to do things he can't. He's a fan favorite that brings toughness to the team and is a shitty FT shooter.

Seriously, they are even similar in that regard - both were poor FT shooters who improved their FT% later in their careers.

Ed is better right now. However, if you compare both players in their 4th year - they are mighty close. I'd argue that 4th year Noah is better than 4th year Ed Davis.

He doesn't pass the eye test. He's not aggressive and CERTAINLY doesn't have that "dog" in him.

That's not something you develop. It's something you have inherently.

I think he's much better on offense than Przy.

If you compare Joel's best year (2008-09) to Ed's current season, they are very similar in all regards, even offensively. Joel scored 5.5 ppg, compared to Ed's 5.4. He played a few more minutes, but had a higher FG% (.625 vs. 566). Neither are/were noted for their offense, but are/were very efficient around the basket.
