Not "duty" per se, but yes, basically. I think with something as innocuous as these, I'll probably prefer to give people opportunity to self-edit, or give the subject (@HCP in this case) the opportunity to say, "Nah, it's all good, leave it alone". But absent either of those, I'll probably have to edit them--even though I really don't have an issue with them--just for consistency's sake.

I think there's a Normal Rulebook for Mods, and then fifteen volumes of Exceptions To The Rules Regarding HCP... maybe you haven't gotten through all of them yet.

I know @HCP's skin is probably the thickest of anyone on the forum. I wouldn't think he would have any issue with anything that anyone in here said about him personally (unless someone tried to claim he was from the 'burbs, or wore New Balance shoes), since he considers us all to be beneath him anyway. But other members would take offense at being the subject of the same posts, and they would have a right to because they do technically violate the PI rule. So I was just saying that if applying the rules consistently, those qualify as posts that should be edited.

Does that make sense?

I would leave it be unless it's clear that there is malicious intent. There should be room for good natured ribbing, IMO, even if it looks like insults.

Well then, that makes perfect sense. Although I bet that with his low center of gravity, HCP would be able to back Ed down in the post.
