It would be one thing if there was a reason, like if Davis was having the best month of his career and Lillard had it the wall. But that's not the case at all, Davis' numbers are down for the last 2 months running because his minutes are down, he had his season low in FG% and blocks per game for the month and only posted 11.2pts/7.0rebs/1.7blks overall. And while Lillard struggled from 3 it actually wasn't his worst month in terms of FG% (that was Dec) and he posted his best month scoring with overall numbers of 19.8pts/2.9rebs/6.2asts.

Oh yea, and Davis was just injured earlier this week, and could miss another handful of games with a sprained shoulder.

There's just no reasonable argument to move him ahead of Lillard right now.

Davis looks fragile to me. He is will eventually get bigger and stronger, (He is still only 20) but right now he needs a long summer in the weight room. The thing is he is built more like a perimeter player without perimeter skills.

You backed up what you thought with the fact Lillard got lit up but so did Davis, then you pointed out we lost a lot of games and yet so did the Hornets, Lillards numbers for the month are better then Davis and there teams have both sucked in February. Its better to say you think Davis is a better player and starting to get hot or something like that then to spot off "facts" that then get turned around on you.

Lillard will win RoY but this is exactly why some "experts" were picking drummond a month back as the better rookie or for espns "round table" discussions last year having people pick rookies other then Irving for RoY, people don't want to keep picking the same player over and over they instead want to be the first to jump on the "told you this guy was better" bandwagon.

I have no doubt Davis will eventually become a top tier player one day. I'm just saying Lillard is by far the best rookie in the league right now.

By far? You do realize that Davis outplayed him the last time they met on the court, and that if the draft were held today Davis would probably still be taken first. Lillard has a great game, but Davis has a chance to be a truly dominant player, and is already starting to show it. You really need to take your blinders off.

Lillard in November averaged 5.5 APG. He's higher than that now. Davis' stats have not just gotten "better and better" But maybe they SEEM to, because you don't pay attention to him or our own rookie.

Common sense, as in Dame hasn't missed a single game, and is playing 10 more minutes per game than Davis...

Common sense, as in Lillard has played in 12 more games this season, and I'm sure if you added up all the extra minute he's played, I'd bet it would be quite a bit more than those 12. His shooting percentage is dropping because

A) He's fucking tired

B) Defenses key on him every game.

Oh, but Davis outplayed him in one game this season so we better hand him the award, right?

Go look at their stats side-by-side and tell me that Davis is the better player. Give me a break... Oh, and thanks for tossing in the personal attack at the end. Makes you look like a real class act.
