No, I understand your point just fine. I just disagree with the entire notion.
I agree with you, in that Brandan Wright deserves more minutes. Carlisle seems to be stuck in some mode where he gives lesser players minutes. Wright is one of the rare players with a PER over 20, yet USG under 20.
I get what you were trying to say, by the way.
Big men with little skill level that don't rebound won't get minutes in the NBA.
Wright gets 15min a game because he's not very good (it's his 6th season, 3 different team).
Comparing him to Davis is ignorant and foolish.
The problem with Wright is that he blows up every "Advanced Stat Geek", and I am one of them. It' hard to stick up for Advanced Stats while ignoring Brandan Wright.
His career Ortg is 120, with a Drtg of 106.
His career PER is 19.4.
His career WS/48 is .162, which is insanely high.
Either his coaches are missing out on playing a guy who makes a difference, or the Advance Stats are lying regarding his game.
could be he is one of those guys who cant play more than a few minutes at a time? looks like he is in shape...
Or, he's just a guy that doesn't have a high skill level and plays within that skill level. Meaning coaches would rather have a player that is better at defense and can do a little more than make bunnies. Its not that he's not good, its just that there's not much he can do.
yHe's just 19....
He shows good form on his shot. He'll be a guy that will be able to knock down that 15ft jumper in the future.
I'm confident in saying he'll be averaging close to 20ppg in 3 years or so. I can see a 20pts/10reb/2blk average for him.

Think he'll be back up to #1 or is Davis still gonna' hold it down?
