How would your opinion of Dame change if he does request a trade?

If I am honest, I don't really want to think about that...
Truth is though, He's an NBA star, and has every right to ask for one, especially if he knows things could've been done that would've helped them win and they weren't done.

For me personally, Dame is my favorite Blazer of all time... Sabonis a close 2nd... but at the end of the day I am loyal to the team and not the players.

He’s probably telling him to trade for his buddy Dray, who will be available if GS loses this series. Honestly, I think it’s a doable trade without giving up our backcourt or Zach. He’s regressed a bit and they aren’t gonna wanna max him.

He's lobbying for someone who wants to play with him possibly...or that he thinks will make us contenders

Someone with high bbiq and plays effective defense. Wet dream ready to happen, baby!

It will take a trade because they have no cap room and a low Draft pick while not being Playoff relevant. It's possible they could use the TPE and go way over the cap and then make a trade trying to get back under the cap but that seems unlikely.

My favorite Blazer of all time was Wes Matthews, not because of how good he was just because of the leadership, and tenacity he played with. I remember when Korver had that long streak of making a 3 pointer in a game, and matthews was EVERYWHERE he went that night and stuffed it. I love players who take pride in playing defense.
Anyways, of course I am a Blazer fan, and will always cheer for them to win every game, but I can't get mad at players who are trying to do what they think is best for their career's and some players leave in a much better way than others...

If Goodwin is involved, he's going to dump another one of his bloated, out-of-shape has-been clients on us.

Problem is, Dame needs to quit supporting Stotts, as that is the most meaningful change that could happen.

Dames smart, he's not expecting Neil to turn a draft pick and Evan Turner into Kawhi Leonard. He knows were in a tough spot.

I wonder if C.J. feels slighted when he sees Dame commanding an audience with the owner.

McCollum's ego is way too big. He has half the talent Lillard has, and is very expendable.

Lillard would recommend a player to the GM, not the owner, who doesn't make the trades. Lillard would only go to the owner, over the GM's head, to advocate something the GM opposes.

I may be naive here but the only way I see Dame asking to be traded is if he feels NO isn’t going to make the moves he believes should be made.

LMA always felt fickle to me, Dame has never felt that way, I just think he wants to make it clear he wants to win and how he thinks they can get there.
I know this is just going to sound like me being an Olshey apologist again but I have to say it. Dame is the one who wanted to keep Davis at the deadline. Dame is the one always saying to keep Stotts. Dame is the one who's buddies with CJ and doesn't want him traded too. Dame is the one who at previous trade deadlines has lobbied for management to keep the team together.

So I think it would be kinda bullshit if he then goes over Olshey's head to demand he make better moves.

Draymond is still under contract for two more seasons. What are you talking about?

gotcha….I mentioned earlier that he may want to keep somebody NO wants to let go or trade....at least it's something to speculate about..NO not being in the loop makes Lillard the alpha male in the room then..Lebron does shit like that all the time

Neil Olshey sounds recently like a guy who has to move the needle or go back to Days of our Lives

Or maybe he wants Paul to play guitar on his summer cd project

I wasn’t trying to imply that’s what he was doing here. Was only saying I think the only way he would ask out is if he had a problem with something NO did in terms of building the roster.

But Dame can't have it both ways. He can't like everyone (seemingly) that Olshey has acquired, wanted to keep them, and then be mad that he didn't make moves for something better.

Well I don't think he was there to demand a trade, if this took place he was there to try to go over with PA how he thinks the Blazers could get better this summer.

In the NBA nowadays it's important for guys like Dame to recruit. He and CJ couldn't even recruit Melo here last summer. Harden got CP3 to opt-in to his contract for less money to go to Houston.

A lot of guys on the All NBA list are on teams that are not good enough to contend...you can bet they talk after they get the nod.

Dame obviously isn't meeting to ask for a trade. Same as last summer. "Hey paul get neil the fuck out of here". Or "We need upgrades this summer, see this first team all NBA?!?! treat me like it, get me help, BITCH!"

okay not exactly word for word but you get what I am saying

Dame & CJ are in a diff age group than Melo, Paul, Harden & others.
I doubt that Dame & CJ give up recruiting because they struck out with Melo , thank goodness.

I'm predicting Dame the godfather has given his Blessing to trade CJ

My thoughts are Dame saw Houston tie the series at 2-2 and have home court. He knows the Rockets took a big swing and brought in CP3 and it seems to be working really well. I think he wants us to take our swing now, make a big move to make it happen. Probably just wants to state his case to PA and hear his thoughts as well.
