I’m getting real sick of all the social media drama. I’d prefer to focus on the young core of this team and watching it grow. This multiple timeline thing is stupid and weak. I feel really bad for some of the older fans that don’t wanna go through a rebuild but I don’t understand how anyone can see this roster and think we are a player away from contending. We had the 3rd worst D in the league I believe and the 5th worst record in the NBA. It’s time to rebuild, we have never had two blue chip prospects like this at this age, it should be an exciting time.

I honestly think that if we sent Dame and Nurk to the Nets they would give us like 4 or 5 future firsts, the rights to both of the guys they just picked (one is a 6'11" PF) and I think they'd give us Dinwiddie, Harris and Claxton all of whom have expiring contracts but hopefully we could extend Claxton we would probably need to talk about Claxton's interest in playing in Portland before the trade was made.

Scoot/Sharpe/Brown/Grant would make a nice group with Ant coming off the bench.
 
I think it's hilarious that he was on IG live with "Miami" playing in the background. Our team literally just did exactly what he said he didn't want to happen on draft day. The dude has every reason to be salty. I think he'll likely ask out and if I was someone in his life I would be telling him to. Think of all of the youth rebuild moves that Cronin has pulled since he got the job and the entire time he is telling us and Dame that his intention is to build a team around Dame that can contend as soon as possible.

Our front office just drafted a fucking point guard with the third pick in the draft. Dame's supposed to be cool about it. The only way Dame would be cool about it is if all of the talk about him loving it here and loving the Blazers organization was bullshit. Dame wants to be here but he said in one of his interviews, "I'm not stupid" when someone asked him how far his loyalty goes. When someone uses the most valuable asset that the team has had since you've been on the team to draft a kid who plays your position, it's almost like they're trying to make you look stupid if you stick around.

It's funny that people think that guys like Grant and Brown would be talking about coming to Portland and/or willing to stay here if Dame isn't here. What, so they can play with a couple of super talented 20 year olds who are going to have a lot of learning things the hard way to do?

If we trade Dame then we should fully commit to a youth rebuild.

I can't believe people want Dame traded because we drafted a hyped 6"2" overhyped media darling. If he was so dominate why didn't he help his team win anything of significance. He also shut it down half way through the season.
This kid has a lot to prove and he may, but he has a ways to go.

That's a little harsh...I'm pretty sure the team asked Dame to shut it down half way through the season, but you are correct, he has not won anything of significance.

You know what, guy who signed up on here just to troll everyone about Dame, you have no class. You don't understand what Dame has brought to us as fans. We hadn't won a playoff series in 14 years when Dame hit that shot to put the Rockets away. Dame was unequivocally the leader of this team when we made a run as deep as any Blazers team has since 1992. No it didn't feel the same as our teams in 1999 and 2000 who felt like they had a legit chance at winning it all but it was the exact same result as 1999 and ultimately the same result as 2000 too, we lost in the conference finals.

Dame is the greatest Blazer of all time and you continuously disrespect him. You are a troll and right now with things being pretty raw, I find it tackier than usual and actually offensive because Dame is my favorite athlete of all time and I think it's time for him to move on from my favorite sports team of all time not the other way around.

I’ll take Drexler, with his All NBA 1st team and multiple finals appearances any day. Or an actual title with Walton.

You can take whatever the fuck you want but neither of those guys would have stuck with this team through the thin times the way Dame did. Oh and you might not know because I don't know if you're even a fan but Dame was All NBA 1st team in 2018 and he hasn't had the balanced great rosters to play with that Clyde had year in and year out or the one that Walton had for a few seasons.

Yup. And if the Blazers trade Dame away and don’t re-sign Grant, and go full youth movement, that’s essentially what the Blazers will become for the next several seasons. A fun little squad of high-flying dunkers for the fans of real NBA teams to enjoy watching their teams win against.
