Trade Idea Dame Trade Ideas

I don't mind older players. But they have to be 100% mentally and physically fit if we're supposed to "win now."

The Blazers can't be desperate to win now. This trade looks like they are.

I think you're a bit in overkill in an 11-man rotation, but you're also in a place where you have one ballhandler in your entire 5-man PG/SG rotation.

And to answer the previous question---yes, I'd rather have picks than KAT.

It's an out-there idea. First glance I looked at it and thought it was crazy. Then I realize the Blazers get everyone we want and really the only guy we lose that I wouldn't want to give up (aside from Dame) is Jabari Walker.
Loved the article on Jabari working on his mental game...I think he is going to make a jump this year. He has the physical attributes and the genes. Could be a nice surprise.

I would do it. A few late first round picks are not really very valuable. There are enough young guys included so that we wouldn't need anymore than our own draft picks, but I would change the deal a little bit. Looks as if NJ is giving up Claxton, 2 FRP and 4 seconds. That is a lot for Herro, and an iffy Nurk and iffy Robinson, but they do get rid of Simmons contract.
I think MN is getting too much for KAT. 11 picks and Simons (who I think would be a really good fit for them) and Little???!!! Cut one FRP and one second off what NJ has to give. Then give us one FRP and two seconds. That leaves 2 FRP and 4 seconds plus Simons and Little to MN for KAT, which still almost seems an overpay.

I think KAT and Claxton could play together some times. I better run this by my brother who is a wolves fan. :)

That would create the most talented team portland has seen in 20 years....so, I guess that makes me a yes.

I assume you are saying "Yes" contingent on the changes made by Ukrainefan, right?

Sign me up. But Houston would be foolish to do so.
Agreed.

Houston doesn't want Harden. All the noise about Houston was coming from Harden's camp trying to put pressure on the 76ers to sign him to a bigger contract. Harden figured out that he wouldn't see more money on the open market - so he opted into his player option.

I think Houston would take Harden at a $20M contract, but considering what a pain in the ass he is for coaches/management -> Harden's market is severely depressed. LAC aren't even sure they want him... I think they are willing to take him on a 1-year swing for Powell + Morris, but I have a tough time seeing them adding more value to get Harden.

Next summer when he's a FA - I would expect that he'll have a hard time getting offers above $30M/yr.

Ahhh I see so what your saying is Harden needs to go to the Clippers and they send some players back to Portland.
