Dame’s back? (1 Viewer)

Not sure how I feel about that yet. It's unlikely he'll hurt himself (as I doubt the 3 point contest is anymore stressful than what he already puts himself through).

Pretty sure the ball out of a rack stand and shoot 3 is completely acceptable activity for this point in his rehabilitation. Is this really any more than being in the gym on a bag? I’d argue it’s less.

This is actually awesome. Dame and Deni at all star weekend. I hope Dame wins and looks amazing, has the whole league on Alert like “oh wait, yeah… I forgot that guy was pretty good… Oh sh**…”

On the real Dame must be itching to get back and feeling 100% ready to compete, otherwise he wouldn’t be doing it. He stands nothing to gain from it… He must want to come out and show everybody not to forget about him. I’m sure he wouldn’t be participating if he wasn’t feeling good about his rehab so far, and confident about his game. This is great news.

Honestly Dame has always worked his ass off. If I had to guess he’s much closer to returning then most people think. I’m not saying he’ll return this year but I think he could if we made a playoff run he’d have a hard time sitting it out. I still wouldn’t want him to come back this year but you know it would kill him not to be in there if we are playoffs

All through his rehab this winter he's been shooting 3s like halloween candy at practice, before games and in his own gym. What he needs to sneak up on in rehab is cardio and muscle conditioning around the achilles. I'm sure he's already doing the muscle work but cardio he's probably got very little in at this stage. I don't think he'll play if we make the playoffs. Scoot will be the guy this season.

It's no more a risk at this point than for a pregnant woman to have unprotected slo-motion repeat of the deed that brought the baby with the daddy. What's done is done. You can't hurt it with a mildly energetic act like shooting.

Team is injured, jeez louise.
Strugglin hard, no win's a breeze.

I can see the future, when healins done
But 5 L's in a row, not much fun.

The king's on the mend, he drainin threes
At the All Star Break, he'll give us a tease.

But ain't no doubt, about a return
His fire inside, is set to burn.

I can't wait to go, to the opening show,
Mark calls his name....and the letter "O".

We'll all see the smile, for hills he climbed
and once again witness, some Dame Time.

yeah, him waiting is abundance of caution.

Thought the same thing. Noticed video of him doing some "light" workouts a few weeks ago and was impressed how far along he seemed to be. I was wondering before this is he might play a few minutes in the last couple of regular season games just to give a little test run. Obviously, it's not without risk, but anytime he plays from here on out carries risk. Even letting him sit too long if he's physically ready could create risk.

The risk could create risk, and the risk it causes could cause risk. At that point… Why risk it? If you ask me, it seems risky.

ugly uniform. if you're repping the carpet design, make it prominent, not in the stripe. But best wishes in the contest

The PDX uniform was "OK" at first, but yeah, it needs to go away now.
Especially since they have better options.

Personally, I love the red Rip City ones as the alternative option.

Has there ever been a Blazer who loves Portland as much as Dame?

Why does he look like some 12 year old who just had a growth spurt?

Also, why is he picking the ugliest uniform?

The Blazers should trash those (or at least, change the carpet to white with the correct accents, or go with red "carpet" on a white background).

The reaction is a little strange considering that there was a video of dame shooting 3s weeks ago.
Yeah, there might not be a lot on here who follow him on social media? But he’s been posting his rehab workouts the past 6 months now and he is putting in work! He is putting up 100s of shots a session. Also looks like last week he was getting some running in on the court. He won’t even get a sweat going during this. This is going to be fun to watch.

So what you are saying (or rather what I choose to hear) is he should be ok to stand in the corner at the end of games and either shoot a 3 or act as a decoy. Get him back on the court by April 2nd!
