Right, but what were they? What was being offered in them?

Does it really matter though? PG Put Pritchard in a spot and the longer he waits the less he will get in return in my opinion. Everyone knows PG will leave, so you pay less for the less time rented. The time to do something was now in order to get the most. Whether he thought it was fair enough or not, he should have taken the best offer he saw.

I actually think Pritchard is doing this smart unless he actually had a top 5 pick on the table for PG. Teams will start to get real desperate for some help after they strike out in FA. Imagine if all the Celtics were offering was Crowder and a version of Brooklyns pick next year, something like adding a top 3 protection to it, Pritchard turns that down and waits for them to strike out on Gordon Hayward and that Brooklyn pick becomes completely unprotected or they are offering up Tatum or Brown as well as Crowder and some other asset.

I have to strongly disagree with that. If he hadn't said he was going to the lakers... maybe. But I don't think teams that could actually use him to take them over the top to win next year have enough, or are dumb enough to trade a top 5 pick for half a season and a run at a ring.
The teams who would possibly want to make that move before the deadline would be the Spurs, Boston, Cleveland, Toronto, Washington.

Spurs have Kawhi and are too smart to give much away for that type of rental.
Same with Ainge.
Cleveland has Lebron.
I don't know Toronto's finances, but they could put him next to their bigs and guards possibly, but are they willing to do something like that KNOWING he is NEVER gonna sing in Toronto.
And the same with Washington.

I just don't see it happening if it didn't already happen to get picks in return for a full season.

That's not at all obvious, that the longer he waits, the less he'll get. Especially after free agency, teams won't have other options to significantly improve their teams and George will be the only option (unless Jackson continues to try to trade Porzingis, but it seems like most teams are concluding he's not really serious). It doesn't matter when during the summer he's dealt, you're not losing any extra games with him.

I'm looking at the teams in the league who would have a legit shot if they added him and I don't see it happening for the various reason I mentioned above.

I'm saying that If Pritchard trades PG he is in full rebuild mode and why not try to get in on this years draft? Why wait for next year when, in my opinion ( backed up with reasons above) he would get less? The teams wanting to make moves to be a contender wont have a top 5 pick except possibly Ainge and you really think he would do that?

His best time to rake in the most in return was during this draft.

Why is the standard a "top 5 pick?" You seriously believe someone offered Pritchard a top-5 pick this week and he turned it down? That's ridiculous, IMO. I don't think any team offered anything close to that.

I did explain why it isn't obvious that he'll get less later. A month from now, a team is still getting the same value (one full season) but if they struck out in free agency, George is their only chance left to make a big improvement. That's why it's far from obvious that any offer going forward will necessarily be worse. It's possible that he'll get less, but not at all certain.

They probably received 4-5 offers that were not great and turned them down. Maybe they get similar offers in a few weeks or months and then decide they are going to accept them, maybe they wait until trade deadline and one of the teams think they can succeed with PG and decide to overpay even for a rental, or maybe Lakers themselves will send a good package back in February because they realize they can make playoffs if they have him. With player like George you are always going to get some offers, if the ones they got now were very low then it make sense to wait.

Nope, I'm a user interface designer. I generally get lumped in with the graphic designers, rather than the software engineers. I certainly work more with the graphic designers than I do with engineers. Most of my work with engineers is, "Hey, think we can do X?"
