You telling me mountain oysters and deep fried okra are bad food? My girlfriend back in the day and all her Liverpudlian family and friends had nothing good to say about English food other than England has awesome Indian food. I guess some things are acquired tastes. A southern fried chicken dinner with biscuits or a southern baked apple pie are awesome. There's some great food in the south but they do deep fry to the extreme with lard in some areas. Southern BBQ is the bomb.
