Dame's half brother Jahrell Lillard wounded in shooting outside Clackamas Town Center

It's North of Burnside. It's North East.

Clackamas Town Center is deep in the South East part of Portland. It's in Happy Valley. Got a buddy who lives nearby and was there recently.

Lloyd center was also mentioned in the post. It wasn't clear to me which location the user was posting about

Guessing when Dame and his fam left Oakland for Portland, they didn't anticipate anything like this would happen.

Hope Bro-Lil is okay
This kind of happens everywhere in America, PERIOD! There is no place immune to violent acts. Violent acts happen in every country of the world. Bad people just happen to live among the majority good. You have to be vigilant. If it isn't gun violence, it's knife, machete , battery acid, fist, feet, you name it. But the majority of mankind are good people. We have to look out for each other, no matter the creed, color, or gender. Love one another. Help each other. Makes for a better world. Blessings to Dame's brother, and any other person who is a victim of senseless violence.

Did my best to move the "gun culture" posts to a new OT thread and preserve this one as much as possible. Let me know if there's anything egregious I missed.

Sometimes it's just best to leave thoughts in your head.
Dear lord. No, I am saying I am surprised it was at Clackamas Town Center, I go there all the time where as there seems to be violence all the time at Loyd Center. Why do you guys make this a problem all the time?

People are taking this comment all wrong. I remember the shooting, all I am saying is I have gone there since I was a kid and there hasn't been much violence there at all. That's all I was saying.
You can't win, bro. Once you get a rep, everything you ever say is going to be judged against that rep.

I feel you though.

You truly don't understand how stereotypical this statement is...

How would you know living in Damascus?

I've gone to this mall all my life and have never experienced any violence there. Have you witnessed any?

Probably not. Lloyd center ain't even in the hood...
Stereotypical? the comment wasn't even supposed to be bad, I have just seen more sketchy things and heard about sketchy things at Loyd center where as at Clackamas Town Center is a mall I have gone to my whole life. I used to take the max all the time when my friends and I would go to department of skateboarding and shit was going down at loyed all the time. Chill

I don't even know what my rep is. What? I can't make a comment about a fucking mall without somebody thinking it's race related or some dumb shit? says more about them than me

That's EXACTLY what he meant! This dude is a mess!
Not at all but it seems like race is more on your mind than mind. I am talking violence in general with no specific race involved. Some of the people on this forum is a mess. All you look for is race baiting and that's not at all what I meant

See. Here's the thing. I remember that post and remember the thread it was in. From reading it you can't even figure out what it is from.

I can remember countless other posts where you say "white people" this and that.

Over and over and over. Some of them I agreed with you that it is unfortunately true that white people seem to be responsible for the most number of a certain stereotype.

You LOVE that though.
These dudes are race baiting right now and that's okay on the forum I guess. All because of a comment I made that Loyd center is more violent than Clackamas Town center. Because it is and I didn't bring race into it. HCP,Dviss, and Julius did. Go figure.

This has absolutely nothing to do with it. Nothing at all. You are the ones making it that way

I'd appreciate it if you just put me on ignore. I don't like you and I'm not gonna tolerate you anymore. You shoulda been left in the banned category and relegated to the dustbin of S2 history.

Really?? So he just objectively brought up Lloyd center? Yeah the fuck no...

Presses button. Poof!

As I was saying in another thread, I try to assume the best about people. I didn't read race into his post at all (perhaps because I'm white? :dunno:)

All I'm saying is that it seemed to me like his post was interpreted based more on who said it than what was said.

I mean fine but it wasn't race related at all. So go ahead and make the assumption and be that way, that's fine

I did because it's another mall. Not that hard to figure out. I just said, I grew up going to Clackamas town center, nothing bad ever happened. Yes there was the guy who tried to shoot up the place but other than that, nothing I can recall. Where as every time I was down by the loyd center or hear some shit on the news about loyd center, it was about violence. I didn't bring race into this at all, I just made the comment implying loyd center seems to be a violent place so for something like this to occur at clackamas town center is surprising to me

I don't live in Portland and I don't know one neighborhood from the next. Over the years I've heard or read about a fair number of violent incidents at Lloyd Center. I vaguely recall something about a shooting at Clackamas, but that's the only one I've heard about. Maybe Clackamas has had just as many incidents over the last 20 years as Lloyd Center. If it has, I haven't heard about them. So if someone were to ask me which one I'd feel safer at, I think you could deduce my answer. And it has nothing to do with demographics. But I don't avoid either of them, and I've been to Lloyd Center many, many more times than Clackamas.

That just reminded me of one time I went to Lloyd Center, and I was up at the food court, and a teenaged Jermaine O'Neal was hanging out right next to where I was sitting, scoping on and talking to random teenage girls (Jermaine was doing that, not me ;) ). He seemed bored. I guess there's not much to do in Portland if you're a ..... ;)

It was definitely based off who said it because the same people that commented on it about me think I am some raging racist, whatever that's fine. The comment was harmless and was meant to mean I am surprised it happened at Clackamas town center. They made it about race, not me. Whatever though, I am over it. No wonder I feel attacked on here all the time
