The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said the half brother of Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard was shot in the parking lot of the Clackamas Town Center on Thursday night.

Jahrell Lillard, 20, was taken to the hospital, but his condition wasn't immediately known. Deputies said he was hit at least once. After he was shot, Lillard made his way into the nearby Macy's where he received first aid.

Clackamas town center? That’s wild. Now if it was the loyd center it would make much more sense

Hopefully he is alright. Lost a friend several years ago from these insane parking lot shootings. Nobody has seen anything. Cameras have seen nothing and don't work. This sh&t is real life.

Running with the wrong crowd, clearly.

You truly don't understand how stereotypical this statement is...

How would you know living in Damascus?

I've gone to this mall all my life and have never experienced any violence there. Have you witnessed any?

Probably not. Lloyd center ain't even in the hood...

and you know this how?
Yeah the report this morning was he simply got into an argument with two guys. Had nothing to do with the crowd he was with.
But then i wasn't there and obviously have no clue. Report also says they are still searching for suspects.

Living in Parkrose, I and all my friends and family have frequented both my entire life (because Mall 205 is a joke!). CTC has generally been thought of as the safer of the two, and while I don't doubt that LC's location in inner NE (only 1/4 mile from MLK!!) contributes to that, the proximity of the MAX line (also relevant to CTC now, but only within the past decade or so) as well as Holladay Park--long thought of as a bastion of drug activity--are relevant factors as well.

All that said, I've also never experienced any violence at nor personally feel any trepidation visiting either one.

Location, location, location.

All of that is because it's seen as the "black mall". Why's that so hard to admit? It's the only reason why @Cippy91 said what he said.

Is anyone else really interested in how certain posters are going to respond to this thread?

I won't name names, but I think you all know who I'm talking about.

Where's my popcorn!?

I can only speak from my perspective, and I've never thought of it that way. And remember, I grew up and live in one of the more racially-diverse areas of Portland (check the district demographics).

You're welcome to choose whether to believe me or not.
