33.2/9.0/9.7

He averaged a triple double for 4 games . He was bound to regress and has already started.

33/9/10 is essentially a triple double. You're pushing an agenda if you are seriously trying to discredit that....

And it's not like he hasn't been close before. Last season averaged 24/10/8, which is pretty damn close. I love Lillard as much as the next guy, but outside of being arguably a better scorer, Westbrook beats him at every other aspects of the game.

Nope. Lillard is a better 3-point shooter, a better leader, a better decision maker, a better clutch performer who turns the ball over a lot less. Westbrook is a hero ball playing choke artist.

Sounds unbiased.

Sounds unbiased.

Not to me. Sounds very accurate. Dame is by far a better leader and three point shooter. look at the TO numbers and Dame is obviously a better decision maker. Not biased. Just reality. ;)

Dame has 17 TO's so far. Westrbick has 32.

Sounds like YOUR a bit biased.....just sayin...

We'll have a better idea how each player and their respective team is doing after a healthy 20-game sample.

Currently, the Thunder are 5-1 while our Blazers are 3-3. Who would've thought the Thunder would start with a better record than the Blazers after 6 games?

Sounds unbiased.

So what if it's biased? That doesn't mean it isn't true. Tell me which of my points you disagree with and why.

You can look up the stats on the shooting percentages and TOVs. They are HIGHLY in Lillard's favor.

We've all seen how many clutch shots Dame has hit. There is such a think as Lillard Time for reason.

Westbrook time = blowing 15 4th quarter leads last season and blowing a 3-1 lead over GSW in the WCF. Go back and watch some of those games and see who is completely dominating the ball, forcing up bad shots and making tons of unforced TOVs.

And this was on a team with Kevin Durant. At least this year Russ will have the excuse he doesn't have anyone to pass to. Why do you think Durant left OKC. He knew he'd never win a championship with Westbrook playing hero ball. He didn't want Westbrook pissing away the prime of his career

As far as being a leader, Westbrook totally threw Kanter under the bus in game 4 of that GSW series. He yelled at his coach, during live action, on national TV to yank Kanter. He put his rookie coach in an awkward position, and Kanter, who had been absolutely dominant when OKC beat SAS, barely played the rest of the series. They sure could hve used Kanter's scoring and his offensive rebounding for all those bricks Westbrook laid.

Finally, this the the Damian Lillard Appreciation Thread. If you want to prop up your boy Russ, start your own Russell Westbrook Appreciation Thread. I'm sure MarK Jackson and all the other Westbrook fanboys would love to join you.

Question.....If Dame was Harry Potter, who on the Blazers would be Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley?

I vote @Tunchi as Severus Snape. Since he's so easy to hate.

Or maybe Draco Malfoy?

CJ's probably the smartest guy on the team, so he would have to be Hermione. Ron was goofy and useless, but endlessly loyal, so that makes me think of Meyers.

I got a feeling i will update this topic later. I think its time to show the real ''what time it is?'' to the world

Dame is Dame and he should not be traded till he is at least 35. That said he is very valuable to this basketball team.
We have two guards that are very hard to find in our small market. We should keep both of them.
Stotts used them better last game againt Dallas.
Dame in the first and CJ closing with Dame as the defense decoy.
It will be harder againt Boston as Turner is injured and our starting linup has to change.
I think Dame should try to go to the basket hoping for fouls on the bigs
but if not he will likely be able to get a few threes in the first half. (depends on refs)
We may see Pat more now.

Dame is turning it over too much. He really needs to work on that. I think CJ is actually a better offensive player now.
