There were a ton of reasons for Tyrekes fall from grace and a big one had to do with the fact the Kings have no clue how to use him. He came into the league and people weren't sure if he was a PG/SG/SF so the Kings had him as a PG/SG who primarily handled the ball. When he was moved off the ball his second year his number took a huge dip. It doesn't matter what position you really put Tyreke in, what matters is he can't play off the ball that well so he needs to be the primary ball handler.
How should they play him? When he handles the ball, his stats may go up, but does his teammates? I don't think it is a coaching issue, i think it is a tweener issue. And when you are a tweener, you don't have a real position.
Not sure which thread to put this in,, but does lillard remind anyone of a prime gilbert arenas ?
Damon and Evans both had better rookie stats than Lillard (and Roy). And how was Evans selfish since he averaged 5 assists a game.
It's a pretty common misconception that assists equal unselfish, when it really isn't the case at all
Agreed. Evans looked for his shot first and secound then when there was nothing available he would pass it. Most of his assists came from dump off passes when he was in the air or the defense had collapsed and he had b nowhere to go

No.If you stare hard enough, Dame kinda looks like B-Roy. No?

Bucher: Scouts like Lillard as ROY
Dame is like a mix of Damon and Brandon, both Blazer ROY's.

Damon didn't win ROY as a Blazer. He won it playing for Toronto.

Hailblazer was in diapers when that happened. Cut him some slack.

Was 10 years old thank you very much. And what I meant to say was that both those Blazers were Rookies of the Year.
Try this old man, squint your eyes like your trying to read a menu, imagine Brandon Roy, look what you see, and then get back to me.

You cant see similarities of both Damon and Brandon's game whithin Lillard?

I never liked Evans, even when he was getting raves in summer league, precisely because he was so obviously SO selfish. He has no concept of team play. This surprised me at the time, because his college team had gone on a tear when he was inserted at PG, but I guess that just goes to show how different college and the NBA are.
I think Damian and Damon Stoudamire are the better (and equally worrying) comparison. Also, did you know that Lillard has shot under 38% over the last ten games?
That said, I think Damian's demeanor is a huge factor in his favor. (This is not a novel sentiment.) Both Tyreke and Damon were a bit brat-ish, but Damian's level head is the major point of comparison with Brandon Roy.
So was Buck Williams and Steve Francis. You should be able to work Francis into your Lillard comparison, but Buck would be difficult. I don't see any similarities in their games.

What else do Francis and Buck have in common?
