I wanted it too. Although I think back to the last time the Blazers had a guy in the Olympics and it pretty much marked the end of his prime, Drexler's knees were messed up the following season and he was never quite the same. Knowing our franchise's luck that would have happened again.

Do I care? No. Olympics are boring AF for basketball. Seeing all these young college kids play against the worlds best players would be more exciting, and it gives teams better looks at certain players against actual NBA players.

If they'd have had this Olympics 20 years ago most of these NBA players would have taken off down there like Quagmire with a box of penicillin and Trojans in each hand.
