Wow. Imagine the NBA showing their own ads to people who already are subscribed to their service when they can't sell the spots to private companies on private local channels.. I suppose they could play music, but they'd probably have to buy the rights to the music, which costs money.
You're already sold. You're not their audience for these ads. You get filler for ads. Markets who care about the teams and national broadcast don't repeat them 4 times in a row.
