He talked about its hard with the veteran paid salary, where Dan Dickau wants to play more but the league salary for veterans is more and a younger player can sign for 1/3 less. Dan said he would love to sign for less to help his career and the 4 kids that he has.

Luckily for him he got a free education at a great school like Gonzaga. He really shouldn't have a hard time making good money with that and his name recognition.

good god im guessing steve blakes wife said no?

When you've been trade fodder for your entire career, one would think you'd have the notion that this ride might end eventually and you should save your pennies. His average salary over his 6 year career was 27.8x higher than the median US household income. Did he really misplan his financial future that badly so that now his kids will suffer if he doesn't get a new NBA contract?

had he spent 2.5 ,illion since he was drafted, which is an average of just under 300k per year, he could simply live off the interest of what he made from the NBA which would be just under 700k per year. Also remembering that he could EASILY get a job somewhere more then likely earning 100k plus with his degree and connections

Like the rest of you, I feel insulted by his desire to continue making big bucks in the NBA.

They workout at the gym I go to every once in awhile. Yes, she is. My buddy dated her younger sister, she's even better looking, but too skinny.

Agree. I sat near his wife and her sister at several Trail Blazer games years ago. The younger sister is cuter, but she needs to gain a few pounds.

Hmm..a beautiful woman marries him...she can divorce him...we can't understand the source of his pressure to make big money......this is an oft-repeated story...

But I meant as the moonlight shined off the sweat on her back that I created while I was pounding it out wearing a Joey Harrington jersey!

According to basketball reference, he's made over 11 million dollars in his career. Must be rough to feed your kids. A young guy can sign for less, sure. They also have potential, which a team might like over dickau possibly. However, I believe the league pays a portion of veteran minimum salaries for teams, to encourage teams to sign them. So it might not be just because of the cheaper salary.

Can we please get back on topic!

Well, alright. So what are your wife's measurements?
