Re: Danny Green, Finals MVP?

green has been unreal, but it could have just as easily been kawhi or neal or whomever

that said, if green goes 10 for 10 from 3 in game 6 and they win, he takes it home

Re: Danny Green, Finals MVP?

Who exactly is it that votes for the Finals MVP?

Members of the media. General public at home can vote too but it only counts as a small percentage of the final results.

Re: Danny Green, Finals MVP?

Um, yes, shooting 22.8% over your average IS an aberration.

Thats what I was thinking, lol.

No. It's called stepping up your game when it matters. All the greats do it. I don't understand. If its so easy to shoot 67% because of Tony Parker, why doesn't anyone on the Heat do that because of LeBron and Wade? We are witnessing greatness in Danny Green.

Re: Danny Green, Finals MVP?

And it's not just Green's shooting. He's averaging 1.6 blocks per game!

Almost ALL of his 3's are WIDE open. He isn't creating his own shot or for others he is just getting open and knocking down the three. The reason why he is so open is because of Parker causing havoc in the paint.

He is not the only wide open shooter in the series. All the role players on the Heat are wide open too. Over the history of the NBA Finals, there have been a lot of shooters shooting wide open shots off their stars but NONE have come even close to hitting like he is. Parker is not the reason Green is shooting 67% from the three point line. Green is. The only person who've I've seem come close to this is Derek Fisher in the 2001 NBA Finals.

Re: Danny Green, Finals MVP?

Also, is Parker blocking shots for Green too?

Re: Danny Green, Finals MVP?

Finals' MVPs don't average 15 ppg and have games where they score 3 points on 1-7 shooting.

And that would pretty much be the definition of an ABERRATION.

So is Danny Green basically garbage?

Can't get it done when it matters. Season over.

Re: So is Danny Green basically garbage?

You are 100% correct. After tonight the season is over.

Re: So is Danny Green basically garbage?

I'd laugh if Green hit the game/series winner, tonight. :)

He might, but he has a negative PER the last two games.

At least we know the KingSpeed Blazers-attendance jinx works on highlighting other teams' players, too.

Re: Danny Green, Finals MVP?

No that is the definition of exceptional. There's a difference. As in exceptional
Do you even believe the stuff you type? I suspect not.
