Dante's Blazers vs Wade's Inferno game thread

Yeah, Nate is killing me tonight. On the plus side I see a tiny grain of chemistry between Roy, Oden and Miller that's a good thing and could be a huge plus. Starting to wonder if Rudy is just a streaky player who is spectacular when on or if it's a matter of minutes.

Nate gets a T for Oden. Miller plays more minutes than Blake. He tries to get Oden the ball and apparently has added a cutting play for more points in the paint than we've seen in ages.

But, no, Nate is killing you tonight. The guy just can't win.

Its about shot attempts.

+1

But even at a frantic pace, Phoenix style I'm not sure we could get enough shots for everyone who wants them.

I mean, crap, does anyone deserve them more than Howard?

Maybe, but he got 3 in ten minutes, so I'm not really sure you can pin it on that. I don't remember where I read it, but somebody did an analysis of his variance in scoring, shooting percentages, and other metrics and he has the biggest fluctuation of any player on the team. Right now it's feast or famine with Fernandez

You are right that Miller playing more minutes is good. And you raise good points. I still think he is too conservative with our bigs. Oden is one thing Joel is craziness. I think you make good points, but seriously what was he thinking there?

But why have this loser mentality? Why do we have to make a comeback? When Joel left, we were only down by 4. Putting GO back in could have prevented the lead from growing. Hell, we might even have tied the game! But nah, let's just play from behind. It's funner and more exciting. That is, if we don't get blown out by then. But then GO gets to play in garbage time and dominate their scrubs. Oh wait, Nate won't play him then either.

Ummm ... OK

Well, the "players are tired and need rest" theory isnt really holding up right now. After 2 bad games and days off you would think they would have come out with a little more intensity.

Yep it's worrisome. Aldridge being down has decimated our rotation players with Trout and Batum also being gone. So there is that. Still it is concerning.

On the bright side Roy and Oden seem to have come to play so that's good.

He isn't thinking, that's the problem.

He's running scared instead of running at them.

Oden can't improve if Nate keeps babying him like this.

And Oden can't improve if he's sitting on the bench with 6 fouls in the second quarter.

Quite a conundrum we have here.

I agree, he should've put him back in when Joel got 3 fouls, but otherwise I think he used Oden's minutes well tonight so far.

like seriously where the fuck was the foul there were 5 people around him

If only Roy would give the ball to Oden when he's wide open after the pick and roll instead of waiting until he's got someone on him.

wtf do we have to do to get a foul? I think Webster's spleen is somewhere on the ground.

Meanwhile Beasley gets an air tap and gets a foul called for him.

He wouldn't get 6 in the 2nd quarter. And if he's not allowed to play with foul trouble, how can he learn to play with foul trouble. No conundrum, just a dumb fuckin coach.

So I'm unclear, do you think that Nate is a good coach that is just having emotional issues (control of fear), OR do you think Nate isn't a good coach because of the fear and reaction issues? Or a third view on Nate. I'm curious.

why does everyone stand still when oden has the ball in the post? Fuckin make some cuts, set some screens, dont just stand there!!

Oden's doing good, better get him outta there again!

FUCK YES ODEN AND ROY BEASTING IT! That's the way those two need to play Roy being cut throat and Oden cleaning up. Beautiful!

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Thank goodness Greg is okay after Martell and Dante tried to take out one of his legs - it isn't fun holding your breath after you just had a sucker.

I liked how the first thing that happened when the timeout was called was Miller in Oden's ear explaining something.

I'll probably get pilloried by the pro-Outlaw crowd for saying this, but I don't miss him at all when Dante is in the game.
