so says Dave Alessandro in the following blurb from his recent blog aabout Jefferson's reaction the trade:
"Second reaction: Lots of eye-rolling after hearing, "It was a surprise and I didn't know. There was no heads-up."
"Uh....no. He was told at least three times that a trade is an absolute certainty (4/15 after the Charlotte game, 4/12 at Milwaukee, 3/29 after the Phoenix game), and each time he agreed that he had to emotionally prepare himself for the inevitable. The summer mission statement was spelled out in neon - move Richard, get back something that works - and he knew it."
Fact is we all knew but I was hoping the Nets would get something more for Richard than a marketing ploy and an expiring contract for one of the Nets better players ,,, as D"Alessandro makes clear, Richard is a nice guy who will be missed...have to agree on this point.
