He's above a MLE contract but not by too much. I guess around 7-9 million would be ok, not exactly a bargain.

It wouldn’t be my ideal number for him, but I would match $9M per. He’s averaging 16/12 and has consistently improved his game every year, and if that’s any indication, he will continue to. Saying he can only rebound and is consistent would be underrating him as there aren’t too many power forwards in the league who are capable of averaging 16/12.

True, but I don't really here that many people raving about his defense, or low post scoring. He'd be an extremely valuable player on a team with a superstar that was poised to win it. However, there's no guarantee that Lebron will come to save the day.

Except in Mike D'Antoni's system, he doesn't need to play defense, so if he's resigned there, that hole in his game won't mean jack.

Will Lee ever be an all-star? probably not. Dude isn't worth those kinds of numbers, but it would still suck for you guys to lose him for nothing.

They could work out a sign and trade to get some value back, but I agree with the rest of you, $10M is overpaying and those days seem to be over with.

He finished only second to Dwight Howard in double-doubles and has solid stats to justify asking for $10M. The question mark teams have about him is his upside. Can Lee take his game to another level and be a cornerstone of a franchise or has he hit a ceiling already?

He also doesn't have a true position in the league, especially when you get into the playoffs and coaches start exploiting a player's weaknesses.

The five worst rebounding teams in the league this past season were Memphis, Sacramento, Miami, New Orleans and Charlotte.
