Dead Rising 3 to be 'truly open-world'

Dead Rising 3 is a "truly open-world" game with no loading screens, boasting a world map larger than those from Dead Rising 1 and 2 combined.

That's according to Capcom executive producer Josh Bridge, who has described some of the technical challenges facing the studio during the development of the ambitious zombie title.

"We wanted to go truly open-world this time around," Bridge told the Financial Post. "No more load screens, with the biggest world that we've been able to make with loads of zombies.
