A Somali man in his 20s was behind an attack involving a car and butcher knife on the campus of Ohio State University Monday that left nine injured, law enforcement sources told Fox News.

After the suspect plowed his vehicle into the crowd, officials said he got out of the vehicle and began attacking people with a butcher knife before he was shot and killed by a campus police officer.

Why is this being called an "active shooter?" There wasn't a gun as far as I can tell.

Media, they are useless. Active Shooter, no shooter, active butcher, now maybe with a gun too. Jesus. They need to stop putting shit on their front page that is citing specifics like "shootings" etc, without getting a real information.

Hell I even read someone had died, but now it's just critical condition. Need some QA on this bitch.

Ohio State University releases text that says, "Active Shooter on Campus. Run, Hide or Fight." and the press reported that. So what if it turned out to be a stabber instead of a shooter? OSU and the press did nothing wrong.
 
This officially ends the gun control debate. Gun Control Advocates no longer have ANY credibility on this topic.

If it's not a gun, it's a car and a knife. Get a clue, folks.

It's probably an automated message that they can send out quickly. Nothing wrong with that. But in the future, the best way to handle someone with a knife would be a regiment of pikes.

Seems poorly designed. I don't know about anyone else, but the way my hand is shaped, if my fingers were in those brass knuckles, the blade would either be pointed back at me, or pointed down at the ground.

That's right, if someone gets killed with a knife, it ends the gun control debate. If only someone, sometime in history, had been killed by a knife before, we could have entirely avoided the unnecessary debate over guns.

Similarly, if someone dies of heart disease, that removes any reason to cure cancer.
