Dead stabber removed from Ohio State University Campus

I'm sick of these senseless killings ....just sick of it. I guess it's our kids turn to find out what it was like to grow up in a violent place and it sucks...

Despite what the media would have you believe, crime and violence is declining. Sadly, humans are violent. They kill each other. I don't know if that will ever change.

That's right, if someone gets killed with a knife, it ends the gun control debate. If only someone, sometime in history, had been killed by a knife before, we could have entirely avoided the unnecessary debate over guns.

Similarly, if someone dies of heart disease, that removes any reason to cure cancer.

I find that this is a common tactic by those who support gun control: ignore the fact that a gun in law-abiding hands is an equalizer against criminal behavior, and instead make some asinine unnecessary argument by using an extreme example that does not apply to the current debate.

Well done.

Funny, that gun in law-abiding hands argument doesn't seem to help all these cops that are getting shot. I guess they aren't sufficiently armed? Or is training the problem?

Damn! That is a stupid thing to say.

Oh? So random college students would be better prepared to defend themselves against an unexpected attack than cops (if only they had guns)?

Neither. It's usually a complacent issue: getting too "Lazy" (not the word I want to use, but for the sake of argument...) while in uniform, instead of keeping an eye out at all times and sticking to your training.

While I can't speak for every police shooting that occurs, many of them stem from either simply being complacent or not taking a situation serious enough. There's also many instances where officers either hesitate at the moment of truth (Officer Dinkheller comes to mind), or they are ambushed (as the officers in Dallas were).

Most of those are avoidable. Unfortunately, no, not every officer death is avoidable, but if you stick to your training and don't get complacent while on duty, then you stand a better chance of going home to your family.

Some cops forget that wearing a uniform and driving a marked patrol car is literally like wearing a and driving a giant target for those who want to kill cops. And this has never been more evident until now.

I'd rather have a gun in my hand and a fighting chance, then die cowering under a desk in some university classroom.

Ok... would you expect college students to keep an eye out at all times and stick to their training?

I would expect a college student to be vigilant and aware of his/hers surroundings at all times. That's something everyone can do; whether you wear a uniform and badge or not.

Well, I guess the silver lining here is enough of these Muslim refugees come over and fuck up the majority of Liberal students at the schools they may get the fucking picture that the Conservatives are trying to enlighten them about. :dunno:

They are too busy worrying about their safe spaces and such Jade..

LOL, oh yeah....I forgot about that.

I mean, after all: safe spaces and trigger warnings are far more important than being aware of your surroundings and being vigilant against terrorism or criminal activity.

What kind of car was it? Am I evil because I hope it was a Prius?

Dropped out of Community College. Twice.

Maybe you would have enjoyed it more if you had spent more time hungover, stoned and staring at boobs instead of worrying about who was packing heat.

It's what I did. Had a great time!

I only used one year, 2012, for the results below, so results may vary by year.

Firearm related homicides per 100,000 people
28

Firearm related homicides per 100,000 armed police officers
Less than 5

The rate of homicides of unarmed people by firearm is 6 times higher than for armed police officers.

Almost 6 times more unarmed people where killed by guns than armed police officers.

How do you know the 28 were unarmed?

How do we know that the shooters weren't, on average, just more interested in shooting civilians?

I take it you've never gone to college.

Ha! Sly I think you are full of shit. But I do remember College recruiting and if I found a student alert and aware some of the time, I probably hired him or her. That is until the EO system kicked in, then you couldn't use that stick.

That figures someone from Los Angeles would say something like that (no offense to our RipCity brothers in LA). Always gotta make it about race! Gotta sell stories somehow!

And Tim Kaine is a moron. How the hell did Hillary ever nominate him for VP?

Now you know why there wasn't any official word on whether a shooting had taken place.

There's no official word that the Clintons sold orphans to their close pal Jeffrey Epstein for use in pedophilia and eventual satanic sacrifices either, but...

I gotta tell ya MARIS, that story still creeps me the fuck out and it is gaining traction. Although the 'left leaning' reddit CEO did censor the page.

Ohio State University releases text that says, "Active Shooter on Campus. Run, Hide or Fight." and the press reported that. So what if it turned out to be a stabber instead of a shooter? OSU and the press did nothing wrong.

They could have cost people their lives by exaggerating the weaponry borne by the enemy. Had people known he only had a car and a knife, many likely would have responded instantly to detain him.

The lie about a gun was intentional, was meant to stoke gun-fear, and is now standard OP on most campuses.

Thank Allah that that Somali patriot was trying to cut his way to the truth.

Bull Shit!

Seriously, bull shit.

Did you even read what happened?

There was no intentional gun fear by the university.

If everybody had one of these, they'd be safer yet
you brought a knife a gun and a car? well....

Your lack of weapons knowledge is pretty obvious. Missiles are for fighting enemies far away, usually in other countries. This is why they are better used by our military.

Guns, knives and cars are designed for much closer enemies, like radical islamic terrorists or shadow governments.

I don't know why you're still protesting. Didn't you get the memo? The debate is officially over. How can you dispute that declaration?

There never was any debate.

Just morons flapping their fear-feathers in their quest to be bottle-fed by the state.
