Just rented it and it's a pretty decent game. The Build a Label mode was great but I think there should've been more to it. Anybody else buy/rent it? It's definately better than the previous Def Jam fighting games.

The last Def Jam was the best, the first one was an AKI wrestling game rip off. The new one has some spectacular graphics, but the fighting engine is horrendous. I like the idea of being able to interact with just about everything in the environments, but the mechanics and everything else is rather poor. The last one had a nice blend of different genres and a nice create a fighter. I never actually fought using the rappers or any in-game characters. I just created all of my own and whooped on Sean Paul all the time.

I couldn't beat Sean Paul, he rocked me like 8 times before I quit.

Yeah he has that lil flip kick thing that kills me every time. It was fun but I gotta rent some more stuff for Spring Break.

Yeah, that second Def Jam game was damn tough towards the end of the story mode the first time through. I just mowed through it with the other guys I created afterward though.

Rent MLB 2K7 if you like baseball.
