I suppose it depends on what you mean by "phoney"? Do you think he believes in policies other than what he espouses, and would do something different once he gets in office? That would be a major problem. Do you think he wears jeans for political effect, and at home he relaxes in a suit and tie? That would be pretty superficial.

I don't think it is likely he really cares about any of the stuff he says. I see a reality tv show when I watch him. AOC on the other hand I am certain as I can be that she is a true believer in everything she says.
