What are your ideas for a possible trade? This is mine;

Blazers- DeMarcus Cousins
Kings - Ty Lawson, Meyers Leonard, Allen Crabbe, 2019 Blazers unprotected pick
Nuggets - CJ McCollum

Re title this please. It's a little misleading

Title edited. Hope you don't mind, Draco.

Sure why not? While we're gutting our starters entirely, let's also gut our bench entirely. Lillard will be the only returning player at this rate.

In a heartbeat, I'd sell high on CJ and Meyers to get Cousins. There value has never been higher and I'd only do it if LA is returning. Dame, LA, Cousins..instant contender,

Cousins/Plumlee
Aldridge/Vonley
Aminu /Carroll/Crabbe
Carroll/Henderson/Connaughton
Dame/Frazier

Add a combo PG to that group and a veteran backup C/PF and that is tough squad. I like Meyers and CJ but stars win and Boogie is an unstoppable star.

I'd rather keep CJ but if you get Cousins..the bench players will come tomorrow

Exactly. You put Boogie, LA and Dame on the court together and you'll be surprised the MLE and Vet minimum players that all of a sudden are willing to come here.

Nuggets get hosed on that one. How bout this:

Blazers: DeMarcus Cousins
Kings: Wilson Chandler, Meyers Leonard, Ty Lawson,
Nuggets: 2018 Blazers unprotected pick, 2022 POR 1st round pick, 2017 SAC 1st round pick (top 10 protected), Noah Vonleh, Nik Stauskas, Carl Landry, Jason Thompson

Blazers can trade away Vonleh because they don't combine him with another player. They get Cousins.
Sacremento sheds $7M in cap space while receiving a good PG, a starting wing, and a young PF that will make for a superathletic front court and fit well with Lawson and WCS.
Denver gets 2 young lottery talents in Stauskas and Vonleh, and 3 first round picks for their rebuild.

Trade Henderson for a pick, and that leaves you with around $26M in cap.
Sign Carroll for $12M, Gerald Green for $3M, then go over the cap to resign Wes. Sign CJ Watson for the cap room exception.

Lillard / Watson
SG Matthews / McCollum
SF Carroll / Green
PF Aldridge /
C Cousins / Plumlee

Spacing and defense around LA and DMC. Cousins and Carroll could play 4 when LA is out

To get Cousins i'd give up CJ/Leonard/Picks/Vonleh and PA first born.

^ AGREED! Let's Boogie (Cousins)!

Thanks Red Rooster for my 1000th like...much appreciated!

Blazers can't package Vonleh with any other players. Blazers can't trade a first round pick until 2019. Maybe your right Denver wants more for Lawson than CJ and cap space; but Kings aren't going to be giving up picks or a prospect like Stauskas when they already give up the clearly best player in the deal.

So give them the rights to Diez and Pat C with Leonard, Kaman and CJ ..whatever it takes. Forget Denver, make George Karl a deal he likes and Vlade will follow suit

Denver is critical to the deal because they have the quality veteran starter the Kings would want and would be willing to take our young talent for him.

Theycan trade Vonleh if it doesn't create an aggregate total
They trade the pick to shed Landry and Thompsons contrace so they have max space ($27M). They could sign Monta Ellis to bring off the bench for 30+ min a game and Tyson Chandler, and use whatever is left for a Jared Dudley type

PG Lawson / Collison
SG W. Chandler / Monta
SF Gay / Dudley
PF Leonard / Evens
C T. Chandler / Cauley-Stein

That's a Western Conference playoff team, with max cap space the following year even if everyone returns. That's worth the pick, plus DMC

After my OP I would consider signing a SF such as Aminu for $6 million and Wes for $9 million starting salaries for as many years as they want. Sign Mike Dunleavy with the room exception.

Cousins / Plumlee
Aldridge/ Vonleh
Aminu / Dunleavy
Wes / Hendo / Pat
Lillard / / Frazier

We would need a vet backup PG and vet minimum salary big but still an elite starting group and three quality bench players. The two question marks in the starting lineup; Aminu and a recovering Wes, have quality backups in Dunleavy and Hendo.

I'd rather have Barbosa than Dunleavy.

DMC to Portland ain't happening. This year, least. I don't think management is ready to take on that personality. If kinda be happy to be wrong....

Correct so he can't be in a trade where any of CJ, Crabbe, Meyers are in the deal as well.
Wrong, it isn't an aggregate total since your not combing their saleries into one total to make a deal plausable, Vonleh is a separate piece of the trade.

that wing group doesn't fit well with the rest of the lineup... there's not enough shooting to space for DMC and LMA. (Frazier, Hendo, Aminu are all bad 3PT shooters)

Going off your idea, heres what I'd do:
Trade Gerald Henderson to OKC for DJ Augustin (Payne is their backup PG, they could use a slashing 2)
Trade Noah Vonleh for a pick
That leaves you with $22M in cap room
Sign DeMarre Carroll ($12M), Gerald Green ($5M), Jonas Jerebko ($3M) and Gary Neal ($1M). Sign Kyle Singler to cap exception

Lillard / Augustin
Green / Neal
Carroll / Singler
Aldridge / Jerebko
Cousins / Aldridge

I would like DMC in Portland. I just don't know if we can afford both him and signing LA to max money.

looks like kings are trying to lure calipari, cousins coach at UK to convince him to stay and fire Karl in the process. disfunctions definition.

I could see this happening. Offer Calipari $12+ million a year. The new owner wants to spend and as dysfunctional as this will look it might be better than trading Cousins or trying to get him and Karl to play nice next season. Karl has a history of clashes like this so I don't necessarily completely blame Kings management for this situation. The firing of Mike Malone and some of their other moves have been horrible though.
