He will be a blazer next year save this post. Bash bro’s with Nurk let’s ride

He would have been a huge help against Jokic

Pooped your pants?

Next time, avoid the messy clean up. Choose depends adult diapers; the brand you can depend on.

There's an interesting back story to this. I demand to know it.

Was this meant for a text conversation?

Was this dirty talk between you and the Mrs?

The fact that nobody is getting anywhere near him with a contract is telling

Why not? We have every other team’s unwanted players.

You know there are a lot of “Asses” on this board, but you’re my favorite hands down. Why your posts always bring a twinkle to my eye regardless of what you actually say.

I'd welcome Cousins this year. They could use him.

It seems the main Blazer need is two way role players on the bench.

The downsides is Cousins defense and if he would be disgruntled with lack of playing time or role. If he just wants to be on a roster he would be nice injury insurance. Maybe similar to Kevin Love.

But I dont want another Carmelo Anthony who is entitled to minutes and touches. It probably would be better for the team to pickup a scrub.

IMO
Cousins has more in the tank than Kevin Love and would be way better on the bench than any "scrub" out there.
Dude was an All Star before injuries.

It’s just what came to my mind when thinking about signing notorious chemistry negative Demarcus Cousins; on any contract.

how boring.

Interestingly his defensive rating has been better then Nurkic ,Cody and Ed Davis in recent years.

It looks great on paper and would love the extra offensive, however is this the year he finally matures?

Just for kicks here is Enes'. His defensive rating took a dip during his time in PDX. Could it be a product of the system or coaching?

Here is also the rating for Melo. Particularly bad in PDX.

Sorry in advance if statmuse is not accurate, it was just easy to use when switching names

using raw defensive ratings for players as a comparison to each other is flawed IMO. It's more of a team stat. The best gauge of defensive rating is how much better, or worse, a player's rating is than his team.

That's fair enough. I wonder if we can see the impact of different coaches defensive rating on teams with the same roster. Like a before and after... I guess we will know soon enough

I agree with the first part of this but not the last part. Defensive rating also has a lot to do with who a player plays with, so a strong defender could be paired on the court with week ones.

Thanks. I had no idea you were so fond of me.

Agreed! My only concern is if he would accept his role. If he would I'm definitely down for some Boogie nights, and of course a few game days as well.

if you're talking about a 15 minute/game player, then sure, something like that could happen but even then, over the course of an 82 game season, those ratings will tend to normalize

but if you're talking about high minutes rotational players than I think those numbers become more representative. Which brings up an important point: a lot of those advanced metrics get noisier as the minute average drops. In those cases, it becomes rotational circumstances that can be dominant in a player's numbers

that can even be the case for a high minute starter. For instance, last season, because of the Stotts rotation (and Nurkic injury), Dame spent a lot of time playing with Kanter, when he started, and lots of time playing with Kanter-Melo-Simons in the last halves of the 1st and 3rd quarters when they were all in the bench mob. I'd say it's a safe assumption that those fairly consistent minutes playing with that trio depressed Dame's defensive numbers even more than he depressed them himself
